I love this series of games. Dead space is innovative, scary, action packed, and really fun.

The story is an ongoing saga of space betrayal and galactic domination with a single man in an often inadequate space suit trying to save the universe from decimation. That is cool and everything and the story is somewhat riveting but that is not its strongest asset. Dead space is all about sensory experiences. The sound and visuals are really engulfing. You have moments when you are really scared, surprised, disgusted, and even delighted as the game progresses through the story.

The graphics are almost as good as I have seen (Halo 4 perhaps being its superior). The sound is crazy good. The gun fire, screaming of the mutated monsters, and flight scenes sound like you are there...and that is sometimes pretty darn scary. There are also some creative ideas which carried over from the other Dead Spaces; flying in antigravity, having to save your own skin while hanging upside down, reserving of oxygen in addition to ammunition and life force. All in all it is a pretty tight game.

There is also a pretty cool co-op feature. I did not give it much of a chance but what I did see I liked.

My one complaint is that EA has once again slipped their grubby little fingers into the game by making you register the game so you can't let other people play it online. At $60, you could at least let me do what I want with the game including sell it back to a game store, on Amazon, etc. without making the new buyer have to spend additional money to get the full use of the game. Amongst my friends and I, we try to sway away from EA games as a whole because they always have some underhanded agenda going on...but that is the way it is I guess.

One word of caution...if you have little ones, they should not be playing this game. It is extremely violent, startling, at times vulgar, and deals with some pretty terrible topics. My thought is that if they are not old enough to see a very fringe R Rated movie, they are not old enough for this game. That being said, they did tone DS3 down a bit from DS2 which had some simply horrific scenes in it (but man was that a good game...). Regardless, turn off the lights, turn up the sound, and pay attention. The game is lights-out good.

to begin with DS3 is quite an enjoyable game, I will describe every point from gameplay graphics storyline etc.
well, here it goes.
I will give an advice make sure when you read a review is a verified purchase, since some trolls posts because they heard some bozo saying that, no matter what I say, the last impression on this game will count once you buy it don't just explain a view by playing a demo.
many people criticize the game because is not scary.....I've played all DS games and I will explain this baloney, since I assume that you played the previous titles You know what you faced before, the regenerator necromorphs , etc. you get the same on DS 3 and you get a variety of human enemies the fact that the game IS SCARY AS HELL!!! the problem is that if you have noticed most all players who played the previous DS games say that!! why ?? easy ,it will not scare you because you are prepared for what's coming !!!!
for example it is very probable that you have played resident evil series ...right ? you remember on RE from psone when the dogs jump thru the window and scares the hell out of you? did you guys found resident evil 4/5 scary...? they are great games indeed ...scary to me not at all I knew what was coming ..simple.
it is because you are familiar with the game is just what it is, think about it.
the weapon crafting system is great another thing is people find confusing..is not bad is different , I quite find it excellent because you get to craft a weapon of your choice,I have done a blade gun which fires spining blades covered on fire and the alternate damage for it electroshocks the enemy!!! crazy but you can do it!!! if you like the classical feel it can be unlocked after completion of the game don't worry.
the story is a chain between the three games if you play this one "DS3" you will be lost and you will not get the "tru feel" of the game even though the game has a backstory that will fill you in on what happened previously.
in dead space there's funny love triangle which I funny quite ok , "spoiler" until the other guy gets slayed by isaac lmao!
it is a great experience get this game you won't be dissapointed this one of the few series that has kept loyal to storywise game play etc. if you don't trust me what happened to RE series and Silent hill?

the variety in the game play is awesome when on a mounted gun, rappeling , climbling you name it , when you pilot the spacecraft ,when you look for parts to fix the space shuttle another great addition is the side missions!!! if you like a challenge you will find a big challenge but it will reward you with great prizes, like circuit schematics to build more powerful weapons, they're optional but they're worth to try.
also the co-op is very fun as well wheter you decide not opt for it is very nice as the lone wolf, but with a friend you could do quite more damage, haven't tried but once it was awesome!!
in other hand it will surprise you more than you think get it and enjoy!! good job visceral despite of other views.!!

北米版ですがリージョンフリーなので日本本体で問題なく動作します。
最高難易度ハードコア以外はクリア済み。

トレイラーを観て、アイザックさんが明るい雪山で巨大なクリーチャーと戦ったり、
はりついたりしゃがんだりで、「これじゃないな・・・」と思った人が多いのではないでしょうか。
しかし実際プレイしてみると今までの大事な箇所は押さえてあり、ちゃんとしたデッドスペースで安心しました。

全体的に２に近くＳＦアクションな雰囲気があり、戦闘も面白みが増しています。
新しいタイプの敵や、生きた人間との戦闘もあり１、２をやった自分でも新鮮でした。
敵も前作までのように簡単にのけぞらず、しぶとい。腕や足も千切れ、なんと胴体まで千切れるようになりました（グロい）

本作からの大きな変更点は、武器の作成システムで
拾ったパーツを組み合わせ、好きなように武器を作成できるようになっています。
全編英語ということもあり、その複雑なシステムは完全に把握するまで結構時間がかかりますが、
武器の選択の幅が格段と広くなり、より深みが増した印象。
使い道の無いネタ武器から、最強の武器まで作れます。
ありそうで無かったショットガンが追加されたのも嬉しい。
他の変更点は、セーブポイントがなくなっていますが
いつでもセーブして終了する事が可能なのでマイナスには感じませんでした。

マイナスに感じた点は、恐怖演出があまり多くない所でしょうか。
個人的には２の学校、列車のシーンのように凝りに凝った演出がもっとあって欲しかった。

ネクロモーフを撃ち殺す楽しさとcoopプレイの楽しさが重視されている感があり、ホラーゲームを期待している方は、前作までのようなじわじわと追い詰められるような恐怖がなくなりちょっと残念に感じると思いますが、前作よりも更にＴＰＳとしての出来がよくなっており、面白いです。データ引き継ぎでのリプレイ性も高め。２にハマった方は躊躇せず是非プレイすることをお勧めします。

ちなみに、シリーズ恒例の変な日本語も健在。序盤の街におもいっきりカタカナで「ラブホテル」と書いてあったのには笑いました(笑)
