Robinson shares the true stories of the spirits and souls she has encountered while investigating paranormal claims. While Robinson takes what she does very seriously, she pokes fun at herself often enough that she is actually much more believable than many of the other psychics out there. A great read
Heather : What an exciting and interesting read! The author, Debra Robinson is a psychic and paranormal investigator. She recounts her experiences with ghostly phenomena as well as friends and family members experiences with the other side! I enjoyed reading about her encounters with the paranormal and look forward to reading more books by Debra!

I know you will love this book as much as I did.
I also read her first book called A Haunted Life: the true ghost story of a reluctant psychic. It details her amazing story from a young girl and how living in a haunted house led her to become a musician, singer, songwriter at an early age and how she came to know and accept her gifts and abilities as a psychic and her interest in the paranormal. Read both and you won't be disappointed .
I also lost a son (22yrs). I long for him and have many questions.
I loved all the ghost stories especially those of the people I recognize from my community. I also liked getting some history on a few places. Reb really has sparked some new curiosities. I'm ready to read as soon as the next one comes out! :)
I wish there were more facts presented though, more history about the cases. Often we get cold readings, or just the author’s impressions of what’s going on. While interesting, it’s not a lot to rely on – if we could get history, or people’s ideas about it, that might help. A lot of the stories focused on James as well, Debra’s deceased son. While I understand her need to write about this, I wouldn’t have minded if there had been more variation in the cases she discusses in this book, since her first book largely focused on James as well.
The writing is solid, and engaging. It has a light undertone though, which caused me to feel not even a single chill, although I was reading about ghosts and the like, and if there’s anything that usually manages to scare me, it’s ghosts. I did find most of the accounts believable (although, like I mentioned, other witnesses or a history of what was happening could’ve helped).
If you’re a fan of true haunting books, this one is a good choice. Not the best I read, but definitely one of the better ones. Doesn’t go over-the-top in Hollywood-horror style, but instead focuses on the afterlife and ghosts in an entirely different way – with warmth and compassion. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I found the author was clear in her research and writings. I did not feel I had to believe but I found myself wanting to believe!
Several of the stories were touching and did pull on these old heart strings to my amazement.
I look forward to reading the author's next book.
