This is my first Toni Leland book but it shall not be my last. I am adding her to my list of favorite authors.
The characters are real and believable, and the circumstances they find themselves in are typical of many American family situations today. Readers can relate very well with what is going on with the Sutton family.
The novel is set in present day Oklahoma, and the unique history of this region is tapped into very skillfully by the writer. The book is both informative and entertaining, and the writer's fast paced style keeps the reader glued to the pages until the very last sentence.
