Andrea's love and protection of her dear friends is heartening as she also tries to convince Jake, her former real estate teacher, that she is really in love and wants to marry him. Jake has been burned before and is not ready to take a second chance at a long term relationship. Enter Rolph, Andy's dashing French best friend to make Jake jealous.
You will find this book hard to put down as you just have to find out what happens next.
Some of the timing was a little difficult to keep track of, but over all it was an interesting read.
ALERT: If you don't want story reveal stop reading here. I am only giving it three stars because of the drinking that Andy did after she finds out she is pregnant. She has cognac and maybe one other drink.
Not knowing the attitude of France towards gays makes it difficult to judge the reality of the need for Rolph to keep his secret on which the plot hinges.
I think this may be the first five star rating I have given a book and I look forward to reading more of her works. There was one spot toward the end that the proofreader missed the mix up on the last names but I don't think it was big enough an error to drop a star. The characters and geography were very well developed.
Do yourself a favor, get the book and find some time to enjoy it.
