This is a fast-paced suspense/romance novel that keeps a reader interested from first page to last. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading a good story.
Brent is a military officer, staying in the cabin next to the one rented by Anna and her husband. He is getting over physical and emotional scars/guilt from a military operation gone horribly wrong. He and Anna meet and there is a connection, although given her husband's sudden death and the caos around them, they don't act upon it. Brent beleives Anna is innocent but someone has done a very good job of setting her up so he starts to investigate as he sees the police are only going to follow the leads showing Anna to be guilty.
Anna is meeting her husband for the weekend, she plans on telling him that she wants a divorce. Before she can do so, he is murdered. Which makes her a person of interest to the police. She meets Brent who helps her in her quest to clear her name and find out who the murderer really is.
Deadly Trust is well written, the story keeps you guessing. This book has the perfect balance between mystery, romance and faith, I really enjoyed it!
The story itself was very creative and moving with a wonderful ending. Great book cover! I look forward to maybe reading another one of her books.
