“Tim Sanders has created a way to combine the art of the deal with the science of a deal. And when art meets science it creates a storm. Not a rainstorm, a dealstorm. This book will change pennies from heaven to dollars from heaven. “
—Jeffrey Gitomer, author of The Little Red Book of Selling

Packed with ideas, stories, and strategies, this is a book you can’t afford not to read!”
—Ken Blanchard, coauthor of The New One Minute Manager® and Collaboration Begins with You

"The skill that sets the best managers apart from their peers is their ability to innovate at the deal level—to work with their sales reps to 'unstick' deals and move them forward.  Dealstorming provides a proven and actionable playbook for sales leaders to engage in this very activity with their teams. This book is an invaluable resource."
—Matthew Dixon, co-author of The Challenger Sale and The Challenger Customer

“We have all heard the saying that it takes a village to raise a child.  Dealstorming makes the case that it takes a village to sell big deals, too. This book will help you figure out how to win as a team—because enterprise deals are too important for sellers to act like Lone Rangers.”
—Mike Bosworth, author of Solution Selling and co-author of What Great Salespeople Do.

“Stalled deals are the bane of sales organizations. Dealstorming gives you an unbeatable blueprint for breaking though and getting your biggest opportunities closed.”
—Jeb Blount, author of Fanatical Prospecting and People Buy You

Dealstorming shows you how to create new opportunities out of thin air, resurrect lost clients and close hugely profitable deals.”
—Jill Konrath, author of SNAP Selling and Agile Selling

“Innovation in sales is about rapid problem solving through the culmination of ideas and the combination of minds. It’s not about one ‘aha moment.’ Tim Sanders illustrates how we can partner to build powerful ideas that differentiate us in front of the customer. A must-read for sales innovators who want to win.”
—Mark Donnolo, author of The Innovative Sale and Managing Partner of SalesGlobe

“The way prospects buy is drastically different today than it was ten years ago—but many sales rep are still using the same old playbook. You won’t succeed without understanding the new world and what it takes to win in it, including bringing down traditional silos between sales, marketing, and other departments."
—Brian Halligan, CEO and founder of HubSpot and author of Inbound Marketing

I have spent more than 20 years as a sales trainer and Tim Sanders has done a wonderful job in this book of identifying the key elements necessary to prepare for and close complex B2B sales. His team approach, using various people throughout the organization, helps position the sales team as trusted advisors who deliver high-value solutions and are a true partners and peers to their customer. In today's highly competitive sales environment I think any organization that uses team selling absolutely must read this book. Tim Sanders is an incredibly talented writer who puts out fantastic books, he is one of my go-to authors if I want to read something that's going to give me superb ideas and excellent tools. I recommend this book VERY highly.

"Sales genius is a team sport." In my opinion, this is the overarching concept of Tim Sanders' new book,"Dealstorming".

Like the rest of the business world, the sales landscape has changed. Gone are the days of the hardcore, "always be closing" approach. Potential customers (all of us) have access to more information about products than ever before. We're looking for sales professionals who will take the time to listen to our needs, and craft a customized solution to our problem. That's what "Dealstorming" is all about.

Tim reaches way back to his roots as a sales guy with Audionet (founded by Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner) to introduce a simple concept, "Don't go down alone." Build a team around you to help analyze the needs of your customers to provide more value in your sales solutions. Dealstorming is a process that Tim has developed and refined over the past 15+ years "to organize and lead a cross-functional team to work together to solve a significant sales challenge through highly structured meetings and project work."

This is nuts and bolts stuff interjected with enough anecdotal material to keep you engaged. Tim is writing about multi-million dollar deals, but the conceptual thinking is valuable for any sales transaction. No matter what product or service we offer, we're all in sales. We can all benefit from collaboration. "Dealstorming" provides you with a blueprint to help you build an effective team to meet your customers' needs.

Great research. Innovative thinking. Backed by experience. Well worth the price of admission.

Tim Sanders is the master of the instructive and inspiring anecdote. I really enjoyed this book. It's full of useful advice, not just for sales people and business development executives, but really good for anybody who has something to sell. Tim tells you exactly how to collaborate with your customers and partners to construct a win win deal. There's no better way to construct a durable business relationship. Highly recommended.

Today's big deals are far too complex to go it alone. Each deal presents great challenges--complex customer decision making environment---the "5.4" plus all the influencers/recommenders/veto'ers; world class competition that wants to win as badly as you; tough business issues on the customer part and tough business issues on your part.

No big deal is a standard, out of the catalog transaction. If it was, the customer would have already done it. The best deals require the sharpest minds, the most creative ideas, the greatest expertise. We need to tap all parts of our organization both to develop and execute strategies to win. We need to continue to leverage a "team" to adjust our strategies as the customer moves through their buying process.

You simply can't go it alone to win big deals anymore!

Dealstorming is a step by step guide to identifying the people that can help you win, leveraging their talents to develop and execute winning strategies. Tim helps you avoid the pitfalls, he shares his experiences and how you might leverage them in thinking about your deals, he inspires you to look at a very tough/complex sale and find a path to win.

Look at your biggest deal today. Assemble your team. Buy each of them a copy of Dealstorming and use it as your guide to developing and executing your strategy.

This is an absolute must read if you work in sales, account management or directly with customers. Sanders does an incredible job demonstrating why Dealstorming is such an essential process you need to use in the workplace. He breaks it down step by step allowing the reader to visualize when they'd use this in their workplace.
I can't say enough good things about this book because it has shaped how I will execute future opportunities. The stories he tells paints a picture as to why Dealstorming works!
Do yourself a favor and read this book!

I got this on audio book and it felt really wordy. It might just not be my type of writing style. I prefer short and sweet and to the point. I also had a hard copy and gave it to a colleague to read. If it is a home run will post again. I think it has a lot to offer it is just not easy to quickly discern what the wins are to apply. But as I was listening that may have been part of it. I decided I didn't want to finish it.
