About the Author
Jenni Moen lives in her hometown in Oklahoma with her husband and three crazy, exuberant kids who have the potential to burn the house down at any moment. When she's not chauffeuring kids around town, performing her mom duties as a short order cook and maid, or vacuuming for her fastidious husband, she hammers away at her keyboard. Sometimes that means she's up to no good. But every now and then a new book is born.

What I found most endearing about this book is that beneath all the magic and supernatural occurrences, that this was first and foremost a love story. Willow and Quinn. Two people who haven't seen each other in 15 years, who remember each other from high school but know literally nothing about the other. Quinn is back in the small town of Woodland Creek after serving time in Afghanistan and no one seems to be able to get through to him, not even his closest friends. A chance meeting in Willow's diner sets their story in motion and soon each of their worlds will never be the same.
The gift that Willow has in sensing and seeing color surrounding those in front of her is beautifully described by the author. She'll actually get nauseous if someone is upset or angry or is simply having a tough time. With Quinn, this happens often since he feels so out of sorts. Watching as Willow takes the time to figure out not only what must have happened to him during wartime but why his behavior can be so erratic, had me in knots right along with her. Her power to physically feel the moods of others is meticulously recounted and you're just as anxious to set things right. I loved her dedication and selflessness when it came to now only her magical town but those she holds near. Her best friend Ryan has his own talent for reading other's minds and his comic timing was a welcome relief more times than I could count.
Quinn is a complicated character but you get to see the true transformation of a man who was denied his past and his legacy. It's through his blossoming love of Willow that his true sense of worth is finally realized. Together with other key figures in Willow's life, Quinn's future is put on the right course and he comprehends fully that he belongs by her side.
I found myself learning all about a genre foreign to me but fascinated just the same. There are incredible scenes concerning 'shifting' that had me completely riveted. Once I realized that love can be found in this genre just like everywhere else, I was more than happy to enter the secretive world of Woodland Creek.
This book is a wonderful journey into a magical place that I am pleased to have been able to discover. I encourage those of you who didn't 'do PNR' like I did, to give this one a chance. It is well worth your time. I promise it will put a smile on your face.
A solid 5 stars!
The book sweeps you away and you can't put it down. The author's writing is incredible and takes you on a wonderful romance journey and, if you've read her other books before, she doesn't disappoint you!
Definitely read this book, if you're wanting to read a wonderful romance. Heartstopping, thrilling and ohh so sweet! I absolutely LOVED this book!! I'd give it more stars, if I could!
These two will have to go through a whole lot in order to end up where they need to be. It's going to take patience, and little bit of help from friends for them to get their happily-ever-after, but it will happen.
This book was very unique. I've never heard of a shifters like this before and it just blew me away. I adored Willow. She was awesome, and I really loved how she was with Quinn as well.
Quinn was another great character as well. He's tortured, and doesn't know whats going on with him, but he's bound and determined not to let it hurt anyone else around him.
I also really enjoyed the plot line as well. It was extremely intriguing and had me not wanting to set the book down!
