Another great addition to an amazing series. Max and Ethan are working together but have trouble keeping their personal feelings out of their working lives. A wonderful blend of kink, romance and a touch of mystery.

4.5 stars - Another fabulous installment with new clients, mystery and a few more boundaries being pushed. This time around, Max and Ethan are protecting acrobats in Vegas show similar to Cirque de Soleil who have been receiving threats. The acrobats are two married men, and so much of the motive seems to be aimed at their being gay and married. But, as with the previous stores, nothing is really that cut and dry and there are a few twists before we get to the who dunnit.

Max and Ethan are working together on this assignment which is proving to be not such a good idea for various reasons. It is getting harder and harder (mostly for Ethan who has trouble keeping focused around Max) to keep things professional. They are tested yet again by these clients, although in different ways than had happened previously. They remain true and come out even stronger in the end which is one of the things I love about these two. Their relationship is ever growing and strengthening.

This series is fast-paced, addicting and just an overall joy to read. There are BDSM elements, but, as these guys have figured out, they are sort of BDSM rebels in that their relationship is more about power exchange than following dom/sub rules. It is one of the things I love most about this series and this relationship as a whole. It is refreshing and extremely hot to read all at the same time. I have finished each one not hesitating to open the next one right up and continue on, which is a true testament to the author.

Max and Ethan are back to the bright lights of Vegas in Death Defying Acts, book 7 in the Sin City series. Feeling rested and renewed from their 9 days vacation, this time they are working a case together. Asked by one of the big shows to protect their star talent, married couple Lonny and Mark, who seem to have picked up a bigoted stalker.

Unfortunately, not all is as it seems. Mark has a problem keeping his hands to himself and this has Max reacting in ways he usually wouldn't. Mark's inability to keep his hands to himself creates a scene that becomes the only thing I didn't like about the story. I just didn't like Ethan's and Max's reaction to it. However, I understand why they do what they did in response to it. After all, the reputation of the business is Max's Achilles heel.

Death Defying Acts was an enjoyable read. Max and Ethan do seem a bit more relaxed in this book. Almost like they still haven't quite broken the vacation mind set. I liked getting to see how Max and Ethan tried to get back into the world of work after having made such commitments to each other in the last book. It was a good transition back into their Vegas life. I recommend it!

“Ethan licked at the mouth that sipped at him tried to catch the tongue that slipped between his lips and out again, tasting him. Though not exactly playful, Max was clearly in no hurry. He sampled Ethan like he would a fest, ignoring the whispered pleas for more, harder.”

3.5 Stars

This series is nothing short of exciting and intense!! Just when I think it can’t get anymore thrilling, the next book just proves me wrong!! I love how hot Ethan and Max are together, the passion just oozes off the page with every turn!! Definitely quite the sexy little read!!! This series is so enjoyable!!

I felt compelled to give this story five stars. It was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Of course,I did have my issues with Ethan. The guy is such a slut for Max and he's proud of it. I don't get how Max could love someone who would do absolutely anything he says (even lick the his shoes) I don't get how that's respect or love. But it's not my story, the author told the story the way she saw and I respect her for it. Even with those issues, the story can't be denied its intricate layers has pulled me in and won't let me go. I'm hooked waiting on my next fix.
