David Longhorn was born in North East England long before the internet, but fortunately they had plenty of books in those days! He enjoyed reading all sorts of fact and fiction in childhood and also became a huge fan of old horror movies and the BBC’s Ghost Stories for Christmas on television, despite losing a lot of sleep as a result.
He went on to get a degree in English Studies, which somehow led him to a career in local government, which in turn took him into a recording studio where he provided voice-overs, read news, and did a lot of other audio stuff. It’s been that kind of life, really – a bit random but quite interesting. All the while he was reading and writing supernatural fiction, influenced by both the classic tales of writers like Ambrose Bierce, M.R. James, and Edgar Allan Poe, but also by modern masters such as Stephen King. He hopes to write a lot more about the world of the dead and undead, assuming they let him…

It's a pretty solid horror trilogy until you get to book 3. For some strange reason the writer decided to put COVID into a horror novel. Just a heads up if you're as sick of the BS as I am. If not, give it a go as you can't beat the price.

Nonstop Heart-in-throat Horror Suspense

Book 3 of the DEVIL SHIP Series, set in the tropical Caribbean. I found this one the most exciting yet in a Series suffused with tension. terror, and good vs. evil in a constant tug of war. Although the deceased devil pirate Lemaitre has been temporarily battled away, the tiny island of Sainte-Isabel is not yet safe. The global pandemic crisis has destroyed the island's tourism income and starvation looms. But even worse is that now the island's bloodsoaked history is coming into play, and the true prehistoric Evil is about to awaken. Heart-in-mouth Suspense rules throughout.

Horror in paradise

All the drama and horror of the first two books in this series come to climax in this third installment. The devil ship has been seen more and more often and the little monkey isn't so little anymore, nor is it still a monkey. Sara and her team may be the last defense against the horror that awaits the world. The demon demands blood sacrifices that will open the portal to an unimaginable hell. Can the good guys stop it, and what price will they have to pay?
I think this is the best of the series. The action moves along at a quicker pace and things hinted at in the first books are revealed in this one. There are some truly scary moments and more than a little gore, but it is a very satisfying read. Highly recommended.

This is the 3rd book in the Devil Ship series but you have to read Devil Ship and Dark Soul first to understand what is happening and the characters. Enjoy the characters of Sara, Ryan and Keri who continue to fight the demon and ghosts. There is much suspense, paranormal, violent and horrific actions occurring

I was very surprised and very happy to find this 3rd book in this series! The first two were excellent and could be enjoyed as stand alones, but the third really added so much to Sarah's adventured on Paradise Cove! If you enjoy paranormal suspenseful stories, you will love these 3 books as much as I did.

Fabulous story, It was clearly written with a 2020 twist. I assume this is the last of the series. But I loved the non-stop action. Not knowing what would happen. I felt as though it took awhile to get moving but once it did - it was hard to put down. So all in all. Very enjoyable

Great story. Sara and her friends again battle the demon and undead. It was quite a tale, slow to start but picks up about half way and doesn't let go.
