About the Author
Lonnie Honeycutt is an ordained, evangelical minister. Currently he lives in Mobile, Alabama with his wife and two children. Prior to dying Rev. Honeycutt served as both a senior and associate pastor for over 5 years. During that time he had the honor of counseling many hundreds of individuals. Since dying and being resurrected Rev. Honeycutt has had the opportunity to speak at churches and groups across the nation. Prior to giving his life to Jesus Christ Lonnie was a devote agnostic. While working at a laboratory he was approached and befriended by a Jehovah's Witness and thus began a period of study with the same that lasted more than three years. During this time Lonnie began studying koine Greek and issues pertaining to the Bible. After repeatedly questioning the teachings of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society for more than two years Lonnie was asked to leave the Jehovah's Witnesses organization. Though never baptized as a Jehovah's Witness he is considered an authority on what they teach, how they come to believe what they believe, and how to reach out to them effectively. Just prior to leaving the Jehovah's Witnesses Lonnie began studying different belief systems in a search to find the truth about God. His studies included, but were not limited to: Mormonism, Buddhism, Orthodox Christianity, and many New Age theologies. At the age of 21 a Christian minister suggested to Lonnie that he read the entire New Testament and then ask God to reveal Himself to Lonnie if He were real. Two days later Lonnie had completed the New Testament and, just after midnight on September 13, 1986, he asked Christ into his life and became a new creature. Since his conversion and rebirth Lonnie has attempted to witness to as many people as possible about Jesus. He has conducted seminars ranging in content from creation/evolution to salvation and the Trinity to Cults. Rev. Honeycutt (RevLon) believes that one of the reasons he was given the chance to return to Earth was so that he could tell everyone possible about the facts that Heaven and Hell are real and that each and every person can go to the former (Heaven) and escape the latter (Hell) by having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. His book, 'Death, Heaven and Back' is one of the ways that he does this.

A profoundly inspirational account of how faith rescued a man from terrible pain and suffering. Although his family and friends would not let go of their belief in his healing, they were, nonetheless, surprised to discover what God had allowed to happen to him.
This is a story not only of God's love for us, or the story of Lonnie's love for God, but it includes the love that Lonnie, his wife and children have for each other, and how miracles happen when the Body of Christ comes together in love.
The medical testimony is complete to the point of being graphic. There is no attempt to hide struggles, weaknesses or to cover up failures.
On Saturday February 16, 2008 Lonnie died. His heart, blood pressure and brain activity went to zero. He went to heaven. He came back. He and his friends and family have written about what came before, what happened that day, and what came after.
I know this is a true story, I was there that day, and I saw it happen.
