After reading the first three books, and being reeled in by the teaser at the end of book 3, I purchased books 4 and 5 at the same time. If I had waited I would have not bothered with book 5. I won't be buying the final book 6.

Death by Lotto is not a full book and does not even have a death in it. Just a maybe it could be a death, but it never happens. The author doesn't even bother to give clues so the reader can try to figure out who the perps are. It was a surprise when all of a sudden Josiah says, "I know who did it." What?

Stick with the first 3 books, which I do recommend.

I enjoy this series and couldn't wait for the next installment, so as soon as I saw it, I bought it. The story was good, but it felt more like a filler between book 4 and book 6. Not enough "honey" in the jar for $2.99.

If you are looking for an entertaining, fun fast read, this book and all her others are the best. Abigail gives you true facts along with the stories so you learn something too. She is wonderful. I read her books one after another and never tired of them. Can't wait for the next one.

I enjoy reading Keam's Death By series. Josiah is a woman troubled by insane men wanting to kill her, a daughter who walks the fine line of psycho and normal and a wonderful group of friends who manage to get her into trouble by asking for her help. My only problem with this series is I read it too fast. I need to slow down and savor Abigail Keam's writing.

The series was great, Abigail really knows how to hold your interest while winding you around the mysteries that seem to happen. Abigail has foresight which makes a good writer. I enjoyed the entire ''Death By'' books.
I love my kindle fire ,for me, finding the kindle is the only way to go. I'm into Mary Higgins Clark's latest..:-) Abegail Keam will not disappoint a reader.

I so love this series and this one does not disappoint in any way. The characters are simply wonderful and I love the little tidbits of history and other info always included in the story somewhere.
You just can't go wrong with the Josiah Reynolds stories.

Longest 122 pages I ever slogged through, took me about four days in short sprints when it should have taken about four hours altogether. Dialogue seemed disjointed, characters uninteresting and lacking in any depth, at times difficult to remember exactly where the plot was supposed to be heading. Almost as if the author couldn't decide which story trail to follow. Found the characters to be annoying rather than appealing, and what is a character with an apparently British title doing living in Kentucky anyway? Do I have to read four more of these things to find out (not that I'm that interested)? And why "Death By Lotto" when, although lotto was involved, there was no actual death and only one reasonably feeble attempt at it? Most interesting part of the book was the history of a long-ago local doctor having been the first to remove an ovarian tumor (a 22-pounder) from a patient under sterile conditions. I have one of the other books in the series, couldn't tell you the title, but I'm already predisposed to abandon ship if early-on it hints as being as pointless as this one. Reinforces my self-promise to never undertake any book less than 250 pages long: Just isn't worth the effort.
