From the Author
What readers are saying about Ed Dasso's first novel, Past Aghast:
"At thebeginning this book draws the reader in, then keeps them engaged through thefinal chapter. This is a story you don't want to have end." J.Zastrow
"... right amount of edge-of-your-seataction made it a real page-turner." DE Propri
"The lead character was easy toidentify with...that had you rootingfor him." J. Frank
"Love thisbook... I like the storyline. I hope there are more bookscoming out. Will look for them" Y.C.Ortega
"As anurse, I liked this medical suspense story. Grittystory and characters, but I think that's actually a realistic "behind-the-scenes"representation of the medical world." J.Hutcherson
This is Book 3 of the "Jack Bass Black Cloud Chronicles." I wanted to again use many of my medical career experiences and create a book that combined the gritty characters like those in Vince Flynn books with the intriguing medical setting story lines found in Tess Gerritsen, Robin Cook or Michael Palmer stories.
Lastly, this book is a work of fiction and, as in many fiction pieces, I've taken a common issue and given it a different life. The character's responses to his affliction of PTSD are not reflective of current medical knowledge and scientific facts related to PTSD. I do hope, however, that the story may bring some attention to the struggle that many veterans face in dealing with PTSD.
Though I don't expect to ever be thought of in the same circles as authors like Ken Follett or Dan Brown, I do hope my stories provide the readers a few hours of enjoyment. I truly appreciate each and every one of my readers - I give you my sincerest thanks!
