But I was looking for this game for a while and jumped on the opportunity to add it to my collection. It's not bad but was hoping it was as good as the SNES batman beat em ups. Not as fun but still playable
Brand new game for me. Works great. Nostalgia brought me back to square one as a kid who stared blankly at the games behind the glass in the retail stores.
4.0 out of 5 starsThe most popular comic arch in history, made into a game.

Of course this game only showcases a fraction of the original comic book arch but you get all the important points of it and you get to have a fun time playing through it. If you enjoy beat'em up action games like Final Fight, Ninja Warriors and Sonic Blast Man, you'll have your own blast playing as Superman and all the "Supermen" that came about after his death. But even as awesome as that sounds, the game is certainly not flawless. For a man of steel, you're not that invulnerable, even without any kryptonite in your vicinity. The game only has one difficulty setting and you'll have to play certain levels over and over before you can get to the next ones. And on top of that, the game is a single player only so you're on your own dealing with enemies up to your eyeballs. The controls are very smooth and the graphics are decent. The game does get pretty repetitive but switching supermen every few levels keeps it somewhat fresh. You can grab and throw enemies at each other or slam them in walls and windows which is very exhilirating. Some of them ride on motorcycles and hovercrafts which you can crash and throw back at them. This game is certainly a must for fans of the comic book arch as well as action game fans. But any casual player might enjoy other similar games better. As for my tastes, i consider it an arcade classic!
