A bittersweet reminder of Christopher Reeve's considerable acting talent, as well as yet another tour de force for Michael Caine, this taut thriller evolved seamlessly from a stage play by Ira Levin to a superb film directed by Sidney Lumet. Don't even try to figure out the plot! Just hang on tight and enjoy the roller-coaster ride. About 2 hours.

The DVD-R is letterboxed.
It also includes a trailer.
And that's it: one soundtrack, no subtitles, no special features. Since it was once on DVD, they may well have used the same print, but DVD-Rs are not noted for having any effort made to clean up the print used.
So, who is this for?
Like all DVD-Rs, it is for people who purchase DVDs for the /movie/ rather than the special features, and who want this movie letterboxed.
After all, if you are satisfied with Full Frame, /that/ DVD is probably still available from some seller on Amazon.
The most obvious strength of the story lay in the twist-ending so, having known it already, that also played a part in my not enjoying it as much on this last viewing. Still a great view for fans and an absolute must-see for anyone who has not watched it before.
While the plot has more twists and turns than you'd like to count, it's all energetically made and well acted and just when you think you've figured it out...guess again.
I'd like to recommend to future buyers to also purchase the wonderful play by Ira Levin. In fact, the only complaint I have with the film is that it didn't use the hilarious ending from the play.
Deathtrap may not be as good as Sleuth but you'll have a heck of a time with it nonetheless.
