How to use Debbie Meyer GreenBags
Produce should be dry before placing in bag. Simply place fresh produce in bags and wash/rinse produce as usual before use. If storing washed produce, be sure to dry thoroughly before inserting in bag.
Fruit and vegetables contain moisture. If moisture builds in the bag just wipe out with a paper towel and keep contents as dry as possible during storage.
Use one bag for each type of produce...for instance, use a bag for apples, another one for let

back in...then just quickly wipe off the moisture on the outside of the bag. A ot of grocery stores spray water on their produce to make it last longer and look better in the store and then when you get it home it rots a lot faster. As soon as I get home I put all my produce in a Debbie's green bag...carrots, celery, tomatoes, yams, cucumbers, zucchini, avocados, lemons.....If you keep them "dry" inside your produce will last so much longer. So take that extra effort it is no big deal and I guarantee you will save money because you won't have to throw away as much produce when it rots!
It also comes with a variety of sizes. I even keep my grapes in them and they last longer too!
So, followed directions and made sure produce was dry (lettuce, spinach, asparagus, and blueberries). For the lettuce and asparagus, saw a little condensation in the bag, so put a paper towel in the bag where moisture was accumulating.
2 week’s later (less several servings), berries were almost as fresh as Day 1. Lettuce was still crisp and crunchy (romaine), and only a few pieces of spinach were starting to wilt. Asparagus were crisp as well.
I would definitely recommend and will continue to try with other fruits and vegetables (onions are in bags too, just haven’t used them in 10 days).

I live alone but buy all my greens (spinach, arugula, parsley, kale, romance and or green leaf lettuce, watercress and more) in big bunches. There is absolutely no way they would all stay fresh and green without these bags.
Here's the trick.....No matter where I buy my produce they are always wet....too wet. When I get home I wrap my large lettuce heads in a kitchen towel and let them sit for about 20 minutes to half an hour. I take my lettuce and all other greens, shake the water out and wrap them loosely with paper towel. I then place the veggies in separate bags and store in the vegetable crisper of the refrigerator.
I have done experiments with romaine lettuce storing one head with Greenbags and one without. The head without the bag barely lasts 3 days. BUT with the Greenbags I have had a head or two of romaine (wrapped with paper towel) last up to two weeks...literally.
When I wash my greens in a vegetable spinner to make a bunch of salad at one time I wrap them all together in a towel for about 20 minutes and then transfer everything to a Greenbag with a paper towel around the circumference of the bag. My greens stay fresh, green and crisp for the entire week. An amazing time saver and green veggie saver.
For spinach, arugula and kale I use the Debbie Meyer Green Containers which are also awesome!!
Of course, if you store your veggies wet they are not going to last as long. This is only logical as the water causes loss of crispness, wilted and mushy greens.
From one who has used Debbie Meyer products for many years I highly recommend them when ensuring you store veggies/fruits dried with paper towel or a kitchen cloth.
Luvvvvvvvvvv Debbie Meyer Greenbags and containers...I wouldn't be without them.
The last ones I ordered are made of very thin plastic
I have at least 4 bags that I had to throw away because
I couldn't open the bag......A waste of my money
