About Deborah Carney
Additionally, as a prolific photographer with an eye for details, she will be publishing a number of books that are photo based with information about the photographs in them. The ability for these photos to now be able to be enjoyed in color on eReaders and eReader apps has inspired her to create a multitude of books on a large variety of subjects.
Her favorite subjects to photograph are butterflies, hummingbirds and macro images of flowers, in addition to wildlife and nature of all kinds. There will be many series of books about nature in general and by species, and wildlife plus beautiful locations that she has photographed.
Deborah Carney has been involved in online marketing since 1997, with a variety of web projects. Currently an award winning affiliate program manager, internet consultant, blogger and podcaster. Carney started the popular ABCsPlus series of podcasts to teach people how to make money online. The series includes Affiliate ABCs, Blogging ABCs, Merchant ABCs, BookGoodies, and WAHMoms-WAHDads with more coming. Carney has also spoken at many affiliate industry events and has a long history of public speaking and writing on disability rights and issues relating to children with disabilities.
Currently Deborah is transcribing the many informative podcasts she has produced with industry experts in both internet marketing and book publishing and will be compiling those into books that will give people good, real, and actionable information from a variety of voices, not just her own opinions.
Deborah's son Daniel was a prolific writer and passed away at the age of 21, Deborah is in the process of releasing his writing first as eBooks, then in print. The first is a book of essays, next will be a novel, followed by novels from his screenplays that he wrote. He was a student at the prestigious NYU Film Writing program and several of his plays and film scripts won awards.
I hope you will join us on our adventure through self publishing.

Years ago I lived in Rochester, NY, which has a park with hundreds of Lilac bushes. Each spring there is a Lilac Festival, usually during the peak blooming season for the majority of the bushes. There are some that bloom ahead of the rest, and some late blooming, but since I lived in the area, I could photograph all the Lilacs at their peaks.
I got my love of lilacs from my Grandmother, who had a beautiful, large lilac bush in front of her country farmhouse. Every Spring when we visited her the smell of lilacs floated in the air and through the open windows into the house. It was tall enough to shade part of the yard where I would sit and read.
After photographing the Lilacs for years, I started to realize that I wanted to know more about them, what they actually were. After that I started photographing not only the bushes but also the tags and signs around them so that I could accurately identify the specific varieties.
All identifications were made from tags attached to the lilac bushes as they were photographed. Any bush without a tag is not included in this book.
We hope you enjoy this Coffee Table book that fits on your Kindle and brings a breath of Spring into your day.

Eric Nagel is an experienced affiliate marketer that consults with merchants before he will run their offers. He joins Deborah Carney and Vinny O'Hare to discuss how merchants can create affiliate agreements that clarify to both the merchants and the affiliates that want to promote them the do's and don'ts.
Many merchants are not aware that if they don’t have an Affiliate Agreement in place they are giving affiliates carte blanche to do whatever they want to promote your affiliate program. Eric joined us today to help explain to merchants both new and existing why they need a properly created affiliate agreement.
Affiliates want you to have an agreement so they have guidelines and so they know that your affiliate manager and company have thought about the many ways affiliates can promote the merchant’s site. Affiliates will also assume that once you have an agreement in place that you will enforce it appropriately.
“If you don't write it down, if you don't say we can't do it, then a lot of times we're going to assume that we can. Affiliates are very imaginative. We're creative.”
- Eric Nagel
Topics we cover are: Search Engine Marketing – both PPC and organic, Direct to Merchant Linking in PPC and social media, Domain names – including subdomains and subdirectories, Coupon site regulations, Loyalty site regulations, Email restrictions, Social Media links and posts, iFrames and other framing of the merchant site, Policy about adware, spyware, toolbars and other downloads, Prohibited Affiliate Website Content, Unacceptable Web Sites (Banner farms, PLR sites etc).
Merchant ABCs is a podcast hosted by Deborah Carney and Vinny O’Hare of Team Loxly internet marketing. In this episode they talk to merchants that are considering setting up an affiliate program and outline what merchants need to know before making the jump into creating an affiliate program. This is a transcript of a podcast, with the following teaching points and a list of resources at the end of this short, instructional book.
•Starting a program – is launching an affiliate program the right decision?
•Understanding affiliates – what they are and how they can promote your business
•Optimizing your site – set up your site to sell effectively before launching a program
•Tracking solutions – in-house vs. network
•Commission payments – for affiliates and networks
•Program management – in-house vs. Outsourced Program Manager (OPM)
•Program setup – Terms of Service, creative and other considerations
•Purchase cycle – from links to sales to commission payment
Deborah and Vinny have been running affiliate programs for merchants for over 7 years and were successful affiliates before that.
Buddha Beach: Sedona Arizona
A Hidden Gem In The Southwest
Rock cairns populate the area known as Buddha Beach at the Cathedral Rock Vortex along Oak Creek in Sedona. There are literally hundreds of tiny hand crafted rock piles, made from rocks and stones along the shore. Buddha Beach is part of Oak Creek where the creek widens and in warm weather people go wading and swimming. People also cross the creek to get to the trails on the other side.
Full Color Photographs
Photographers Deborah Carney, Liz Fogg and Alec Ababon capture the rock "buddhas" that caught their eye in a blend of beautiful imagery. Each photo has its own message; take the time to find it.
Quotes from Buddha
As I (Deborah Carney) was photographing the tiny (and not so tiny) rock structures I knew they had to be paired with quotes and sayings from Buddha. I hope you will enjoy this journey through Buddha Beach paired with some insightful quotations. Buddha quotes need to be read slowly for the meaning to come to you. Many are open to interpretation, which means you will read the meaning you need to see and hear.
Find Your Buddha
Flip through the images in this book to find the Buddha that is yours. There will be one, or more, that will catch your eye and invite you to meditate on it's beauty.
Fire and Storms
The photographs in this book are unique. As a result of fires the summer of 2014 and extreme storms, many of the rock cairns in this book were destroyed. In their place are new ones, but the cairns in this book mostly do not exist. I went back after the fires and storms and was saddened to see so many gone, yet heartened to see so many new and different ones in their place. Truly a living meditation garden of rocks.
Readers appreciate seeing all the different varieties and knowing what they are. This is a fun book to share with young people to help them to appreciate the beauty of butterflies and nature. We hope this encourages efforts for the conservation of butterfly habitat so they can be enjoyed by generations to come.
A Butterfly Lights Beside Us
A butterfly lights beside us, like a sunbeam...
and for a brief moment it's glory
and beauty belong to our world...
but then it flies on again, and although
we wish it could have stayed,
we are so thankful to have seen it at all.
~ Author Unknown
All our butterfly photographs are taken of live butterflies in the wild or in sanctioned butterfly conservatories.
This book has full color images that will be in color on Kindle apps for devices, and on the Kindle Fire. They also will look great in black and white on Kindles that don't support color.
Even though I grew up in the city, my grandparents had a huge farmhouse with lots of gardens. Our yard in the city was nice refuge from city life. Then as a mom and owner of my own home I had a rose garden along the front of my ranch style suburban house, extending down the sidewalk to great visitors.
Living among so many roses and have access to beautiful city and county gardens gave me a lifelong appreciation for the work it takes to sustain those gardens and an appreciation of their beauty in art and photography.
I hope you enjoy my book of whimsical rose art and that it brings a smile to your face. And that each image takes your breath away more than the last one.
