The plot itself could have been very basic, yet Galvin managed to pull some great twist into it.
Again, my only "problem" were the action scenes : since English isn't my main language, it's a little hard for me to follow.
Finally, I'll say that while Debutane is a TVoST novel, I don't think you need to read Sire to understand the story. Galvin reminds us quickly of his mythology, and the characters of Sire don't appear in the story.
The best thing about this is that you don't have to read the other St. Troy books to read this one; it stands alone and does just fine by itself. The story was good, it had a great sense of humor and I laughed quite a bit! And I really liked the characters (they are great together), but I just wish it had been longer. The story just draws you in and I hope we find out more about these characters.
Good little read, and I recommend this one. Galvin doesn't disappoint.
