Their emotional and physical connection was so endearing. They were so at ease with one another and I couldn’t help but smile chapter after chapter reading all of their witty dialogue. They were fun, flirty and dirty, and normally reserved Kate, let down her guard and trusted Jake with her most secret desires. Jake is such a catch, not only is he fit and fabulous and an adventurous lover, he’s a smart and successful lawyer, and a great brother, uncle, and friend. He has a wonderful sense of humor and is so thoughtful, suave and swoony!
Kate was a successful marketing wiz and I admired her independence, her strong work ethic and brilliant brain, and her ability to be her true self with Jake. This story is how they went from friends to weekend lovers, then navigating their feelings of how they envision their future.
I loved their joint friendship with Lily and Finn, and Nina and Adam from the previous two books. The author cleverly intertwined stories of several other characters that got to star in their own chapters in the Decadent Gift which was a fun surprise!
Lauren always writes her leading men who are strong and sensitive, and ones I would marry in a minute in real life! She is my go to author for rom com and I am never ever disappointed. The Decadent Gift is a standalone but I encourage you to start at the beginning. Just keep a fan nearby!
Is looking forward to doing. She needs to do research for her job but why not include the one man she has been wildly attracted to answer some of her questions.
Jake Hamilton is a work and no play lawyer, but he is reminded that he needs to do more than work and what better way is to finally ask the woman who turns his head to go out but what he doesn’t know is that a bet might change everything he knows.
Kate & Jake have been friends, the flirting and the fun they always seemed to have bubble over and the sparks that fly will jump from the pages. Can the two of them realize that what they have can be more than a weekend it might even be a lifetime.
There’s an openness to their friendship and when it comes right down to it, they’re equaled in their desires and what better than to take advantage of the flirting they’ve been doing for the last several months…and let me tell you, this book is H.A.F.!!! I thought the first two books in this series were sizzling, but this one takes it to new heights and I’m 100% on board!!!
Jake and Kate discover that after their weekend that their connection has turned to more than just a flirty friendship and when two people have the chemistry they have, the same desires and are still best friends what else can they do but play for a lifetime!
Along with all the banter and heat generated in this book we get to “catch up” with some of my favorite characters from previous books and this just made this book my favorite of this series!
I just adored this couple. They are both so fun, flirty and dirty. I loved how they just fit each other perfectly and it was wonderful to see how they got their happy ending.
Teddy Hamilton and Elena Wolfe are always amazing together. Make sure you stay for the extra story of Jakes sister Christine. This book is definitely worth a credit.
