The authors did an amazing job with this story & I can't wait to see what they come up with next
April has been searching for a place to belong. She has always been different but relocating to Vancouver based upon a feeling is a bit much, even for her. However, meeting Jason and Donovan is all it takes for April to understand. But will understanding come too late to protect the males she has come to love?
Deciding Her Faete is second in the Beyond the Veil series by Maia Dylan, Sarah Marsh and Elena Kincaid. I enjoyed this addition to this series. April has always been different, even if she doesn’t know it. I loved that she quickly accepts what Jason and Donovan mean to her. She has dreamed of finding a mate, never believing it would happen. I loved that the focus of this story by Ms. Dylan, Ms. Marsh and Ms. Kincaid focused on the action. April and her men did not fight the insta-love which allowed for us to learn more about this world and its dangers. I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read and look forward to where these ladies will take us next.
Five Shooting Stars
There are two things I love when reading any book.
1.) Strong characters
2) Plot twists / surprises
Sarah Marsh, Elena Kincaid, and Maia Dylan delivered on both. I won’t go into detail because I want you to be surprised by the many WTF unveils. However I will say the end of chapter twelve (12) was remarkably shocking and I loved Jason’s reaction to what occurred. Trust me, his reaction was absolutely justified.
I also thought the usage of April’s glowing palms during sex was both arousing and, during one point, comical. This will all makes sense once you read the sex scenes. They left quite an impression on the men in more ways than one. 😉
In regards to the plot of the missing women and the Fey, this will all come to head in a battle where three women, (Erica, April, and Corinne) demonstrate their skill-set and why anyone should think twice about going up against them. During this section, another bomb is dropped and we meet Ishaya. I already heart him. <3
For those who recall Braxas, he’s back and delivering ANOTHER game changer. (See epilogue)
Folks, I for one hope these authors deliver us part three of Beyond The Veil sooner rather than later because Sarah Marsh, Elena Kincaid, and Maia Dylan left us with one helluva cliffhanger!
Love the new characters that were introduced to even though we have met them in book one but we get to know them better April Jason and Donovan, now those three were full of surprises OK well April was full of surprises throughout this book and I just loved her and of course she has to be strong if she's dealing with the beta and his brother.
There's lots of emotions flying in the story this time around you find out what Erica had to give up for missed treating or miss using her powers, and if you guys know me I don't like to give away anything but I want to say prepare yourself because it does hurt to find out what she gives up
everyone goes through so much in this series so far in the book and decisions that have to be made wow oh wow!! No time to rest always something going on and just to see everyone fight for what they believe in or fight for each other is just wow throughout this book I love it!!!
Oh and the end jaw drop moment * wink* just saying
The second book of the Faete Series just sucks you in and before you know it, time just passes and then it is 4am. April, Donovan and Jason are a hot triad. They compliment each other completely.
Quite a cliffhanger at the end though, not cool!!!!
And if you thought a lot happened in the first book, the action continues in book two. Now you could probably drop into book two without having read the first one, but I think you'd miss out on a lot of the connections and information.
It starts with the hunt for April. Her two mates are relentless. The things that happen between the three of them are incredibly hot. The stuff they learn about each other definitely helps the story rocket along.
I love the fire in April. She is not one to be coddled and shielded. She is and will look after and care for herself as well as her mates. April is an amazing mix of fae and shifter. Donovan and Jason, her mates are loyal, loving and fiercely protective of April.
A rescue, a coronation and other rescue and so much more!
