If not for the messy reverse button, I would say I'm pretty happy with this screwdriver. I hope it continues to work without problems.
This one is better because the handle can change from a gun to straight. If the screw is just out of my reach or space is compromised, I can straighten out the handle. I'm going to love it! Oh, and he will too. <grin>
Holds charge for a long time, even when it sits unused for weeks
Lasted 4 + years
Minor- No charge status light
Major- the tip holder- doesn't ! It's too loose, and I've dropped many. Those on soft dirt, I didn't hear, and are lost! I don't dare use it anymore. Since you need at least two tips (cross pt & straight slot) this is a real pita.
I guess if you wear a tool belt, it does not matter. But I often don't else I'd have given 5 stars (and I'm very stingy with my 5 star ratings) Your call.
Only 2 'Cons' to keep it from 5 stars (B&D, Are you listening?)
1- holder for spare tips does not hold them securely. They can fall out.
2- No charging status light.
(Nah, probably not. But if I had to replace it, and found one WITH those features, I'd pay an extra $20 for it. )
I have a really nice rechargeable electric drill that previously I had used as a drill and screwdriver. This is a fraction of the weight and still plenty of power. I especially like that you can quickly change from a screwdriver bit to a hex drill bit. Drill a hole for a shelf bracket, pop out the drill bit and pop in a screwdriver bit and put the screw in the hole.
An oddity: there is a light beneath the drill presumable to illuminate enclosed spaces. It's a yellow LED. Why not white? Since it was yellow, I presumed it was also a battery charge indicator. Nope. In fact there isn't one of those on the Pivot Plus.
