I am a small framed female (100") and had no problems installing this pot rack by myself. I did make things simpler by assembling the unit on the ground and making a template prior to drilling any holes in the walls. I used a piece of packing paper and traced all the holes after I assembling the arms on the rack. Take care to ensure the arms are positioned correctly - it'd be easy to position them towards the wrong side of the shelf so make sure they point in the same direction as the top of the shelf. I made the mistake of not thinking the shelf had a top vs bottom side and caught my error whilst double checking my template measurements. Once you have your template (double & triple check), take your time taping it to the wall. You can stand back and make sure it's at the right height and is level before drilling. Keep shifting your template until you are happy with the placement. Then I used a small drill bit to mark the holes before removing the template from the wall. Using the small drill bit simply marks the locations for the anchors and let's you know if your going to hit a stud. From there it's fairly simple to drill the holes, secure the wall anchors then secure the pot rack via the screws provided. The most difficult part was getting that first screw in while holding the pot rack up but simple thereafter. I secured one of the arms first because there was less weight to balance. Just don't fully seat all your screws until they are all in place; it makes it easier to line up the screws through the holes into the anchors.
Like I said, I wish I'd done this years ago. It's so nice to be able to access your kitchen tools easily especially if you cook frequently. This pot rack has a simple design that blends in with most kitchens and is amply sturdy for holding all pots and pans that fit on it. I did a load test by hanging off the rack before using it. I have stainless triple-layer pots and pans along with a cast iron griddle and cast iron skillet hanging on this rack.
