5 HOUR TIMER. 3 way switch: On/Off/Timer. When set on timer mode, lantern automatically lights up at the same time each day. Each lantern has a cream led battery operated candle attached to the base. Each lantern has a 5 hour timer, so you save the battery life on these cute lanterns. Set timer automatic time feature, for example, set timer at 18:00, it will automatically shutdown at 23:00. Will be automatically open at 18:00 next day, at 23:00 then automatically shut down. It will cycle every 24 hours.

Absolutely adorable little lanterns! Got them for my husband's desk and bookcases in our home office to add a little ambiance in the evening. They are very small but for some reason they are really charming. The wicks on the flameless candles look more authentic than other LED lanterns we have purchased that just glow.

Pleasantly surprised. Works great. We have them hanging from a tree in the yard and use the timer feature. We’ve had them about 6 weeks or so now and the same batteries are still in use even though we have these on every night for several hours on the timer. The flame looks real from a distance and dances just as a natural flame would. The flame looks just like Luminara candles (which I also have and which cost a lot more than these) so I think the price is great for 3 small lanterns. I plan to get more as I think they add a nice ambiance to the patio area.

Instead returning them I clipped a few in the branches of a small maple tree in my back yard where they look amazing!
When I see them at night it reminds me of the Blue Bayou restaurant in Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland. I like the look so much I ordered 3 more sets.
