About the Author

Chelsea M. Cameron is a New York Times and USA Today best selling NA/YA writer from Maine. Lover of things random and ridiculous, Jane Austen/Charlotte and Emily Bronte Fangirl, red velvet cake enthusiast, obsessive tea drinker, vegetarian, former cheerleader and world's worst video gamer. When not writing, she enjoys watching infomercials, singing in the car and tweeting (this one time, she was tweeted by Neil Gaiman and nearly died). She has a degree in journalism from the University of Maine, Orono that she promptly abandoned to write about the people in her own head. More often than not, these people turn out to be just as weird as she is. For more updates, follow her blog at chelseamcameron.com, on twitter: @chel_c_cam, or on Facebook.

Marisol, Marisol, Marisol. What am I going to do with you? When we last met up with you, Fin had just left your very naked ass on your living room couch. He ran for the hills, and you should have been done with him. But nooooo, you had to go back for one more taste. Good plan… (Complete sarcasm.) ‘Cause Fin is nothing at all like potato chips. You can totally get one taste of that mysterious man and walk away. Uh-huh. Yup.

"Despite what he’d done, despite what he told me (and the things that he was still keeping from me), I wanted him in my life. Needed him to need me.

We needed each other. Two souls floating around in the world that had grabbed on to each other for comfort."

I love the way Chelsea writes, but these little episodes are making me crazy. Just as I’m getting into one – BAM – it’s over. I realize that secretly makes you an evil genius, but it does absolutely nothing for my sanity.

Do I love Fin, or hate him? I can’t decide. He’s obviously harboring some pretty hefty secrets. He’s beginning to open up, which is a pretty substantial thing for someone like Fin. The man is a control freak, especially in the bedroom, and that’s putting it nicely. I’m a little fearful about just how kinky he can be, or has been in the past. It almost seems like he gets off on inflicting pain. We’ll all just have to wait and see what kind of skeletons come marching out of his closet.

The secret(s) he’s revealed so far seem pretty significant, and he hasn’t even gotten to the good stuff yet! Lord, he might just send me running for the hills, forget about Marisol!

HOLY STARS! I think I'm in love with Fin!

What I liked: Okay, I was still reeling from the end of the last book, and when I started this one my emotions were all over the place. I started out being mad at Fin. I mean he LEFT HER ON THE COUCH! Just left her! (That's not a spoiler - read the blurb!) Now, poor Marisol. I swear I wanted to hug her and tell her it'll be alright. However, she's a strong girl, and can't get Fin out of her head. So, she came up with the plan for just one more chance. Just one more go around with me. O ... M ... G! That was a hot plan, but there was still something 'off'. Fin is a 'bit' dominating. I know that there is more here, but I'll have to wait until the next one!

What I didn't like: Even though I felt bad for Marisol, she was getting a bit 'whiny' for me. But there was a turn around point, and it was that bad!

Fin and Marisol are so much fun! I love reading their story to find out what happens next! But Fin walking out on her in Episode 1 what such a naughty way to leave it and I just could not wait until Episode 2! If you love a fresh, fun story then this one is for you! It comes out every month and there will be 12-14 more cool little novellas! Just read the first one and you'll know what we are talking about!

Review for Ramblings From This Chick. ramblingsfromthischick.blogspot.com

This is the second installment in Chelsea M. Cameron's Deep Surrendering Serial. According to her website, there will be approximately 12-14 episodes that will equal about two full novels when finished. These have to be read in order because the story continues from one part to another. Luckily each episode is about 100 pages, so these are easy to catch up on and are nice and quick reads. Episode 2 picks up right after the events of Episode 1, so if you haven't read that yet I would recommend reading that before continuing with this review as there will be spoilers.

After Fin ran out on Marisol again, she is left feeling hurt and vows to be done with him. He promised her that he wouldn't run again, and then he did. She goes out to dinner with her friend the next day, and runs into him. She just can't seem to escape him and he is still in her thoughts. Marisol decides that the reason that she is unable to move on is because things were never resolved between them and the abrupt nature of his exit is the problem. She is still attracted to him and wants to finish things between them. Marisol decides to have one more night with Fin in order to get him out of her systems once and for all. But will one night be enough for them?

I both love and hate Fin. He is so complex, and yet we really don't know exactly who he is. The more we see of him, the more questions there are. He is both dark and light, and seems to have multiple personalities. Some times he is commanding and is all alpha. Others he is so sweet and thoughtful, and really seems to be developing feelings for Marisol.

WARNING: You will need to read the first episode before reading the second episode of Deep Surrendering. Deep Surrendering is a series of novellas of about 20,000 words and a new episode will be released every 3rd Thursday of the month.

I’m loving the fact that Chelsea M. Cameron is releasing an episode every month that way I’m not going too crazy waiting. Although, once I start getting answers about Fin…I’m left with more questions. I need to find out what is up with Fin because he definitely has some issues. At least I got some answers in Episode Two, but I really thought after what he did to Marisol in the first episode that she would write him off and move on. At least that is what I would do, but Marisol is definitely curious about Fin sexually and emotionally. He does have some appealing qualities, but he definitely is freaking me out with all these secrets he has. One of Finn’s issues he brings up is his first sexual experience with someone he knew very well that may have triggered to what he is today. But I’m thinking there is definitely something else going on that he still has not uncovered to make him dark and mysterious. He does keep saying that he wants to scare Marisol away…well…he may scare me away for her. LOL She’s really intrigued by him.

In this episode two, one of Marisol’s issues gets brought up and makes me feel sympathetic to her. She definitely does not have a very supportive family to what she chooses in life and they definitely are very clingy. I’m curious to find out how she deals with her parents after getting a taste of what they are doing to her.

All in all this episode was definitely interesting. More questions, some answers…and more questions. Yup…can you tell I’m definitely wanting to read the next episode.
