I purchased this for a Ryzen 5 1600 that is overlclocked to 3.8 at 1.38V. On the stock spire it would climb to 96 degrees on prime95 at 100% fan. After installing this cooler along with some Conductonaut, I can't get above 70 degrees at 65% fan speed.
The cooler reduced temps by over 25 degrees along with a good thermal compound! I am very pleased.
- One fan is a 3 pin the other a 4
- No fan hub
- Fan LEDs are cool, but uncontrollable. I snipped one lead to each LED to kill them.
The cons are minor and known at purchase thus no stars were taken.
In comparison to my Noctua this ran idle the same temps and at full load saw a 1 degree increase over the Noctua D15, and at half the cost, and white!!

It's a nice beefy cooler and it looks really clean and works quite well. I'm currently using it on a GA-X79-UD5 with an i7-3820 OCed to 4.2GHZ with temperatures sitting at the 52C-54C range under full load for 30 minutes. I did OC the 3820 to 4.5ghz with no temperature issues as well using this cooler, though I didn't keep the OC due to various drivers no longer functioning. (Temps at 4.5GHZ 58C-61C)
The i7-3820 is a 130W CPU so for anyone looking for a looking to air cool their CPU and potentially overclock it, this cooler will probably get you a decent overclock with no issues as most CPUs are not at the 130W TDP range. (Ryzen 7 2700X is rated at 105W TDP and the i7-9900k at 95W TDP for example)
The fans are also adjustable so if you're running into clearance issues due to the RAM, you can always adjust the fans a little. My only real complaint about this cooler is that I can't stand the clips used to latch onto the cooler, and I had to remove the middle fan to finish installing the cooler.
I ended up using one fan as an additional front intake, and the actual cpu fan isn't squarely mounted but the heatsink is large enough it gets cooling from the top/rear fans too.
Went from an overheating 100'C stock fan down to 40' while gaming with a 970gtx and i5.
So I do recommend this. And it IS AM4 COMPATIBLE. READ THE INSTRUCTION or buy an upgrade kit for 4$ if you don’t have the components.

I had to use the screw hole labelled as AM4 instead of AMD which manual suggested !!!
First time builder might destroy their motherboard if following the manual !!!
Also, the manual on their website is different from mine, really weird
I bought it because it's the cheapest 6 heatpipe Cpu cooler I could find. The pure white coating looks much better than picture. The cooler is overall very good, there is nothing to complain considering the price i paid !

I dropped 7 degrees in my idle from my 4 pipe Dell cooler.
RAM clearance wasn't an issue, since you can adjust the fans horizontally on the fins.
I put the right fan onto the left side to give it a pull pull method, and gained another 2 degrees of cooling compared to the push push setup; plus the LEDs were quite bright since my computer is on top of my desk with a glass side panel.
Took me about 40 minutes to install, including taking the motherboard out of the case.
You're going to have difficulty plugging in the fan connectors once it's in the case, unless you have smaller hands. I left the exhaust-most fan off, so I could get my hands around the top side of it.
For the AM4 mount, you use your stock back plate. It will be loose when you put the front nuts on, but once you tighten down the cooler bracket, it will tighten up; so don't get frazzled when you see this.
The fans could be a little quieter, but I'm not going to complain
I bought this fan for around $45 CAD and at that price point, it is worth every penny.
At ~50% fan speed, the fans are dead silent and my temps are amazing (34C idle, 63C @1080p, medium graphics games).
Although AMD's wraith spire cooler is great, I would absolutely recommend upgrading to this for am4 motherboards-IF YOUR CASE IS LARGE ENOUGH!
Also, the lights on both of the fans are static white. Take that info how you want :)
