Poor material!

Bought these shoes for school for my son. They looked great and my son said they were comfortable when he tried them on. Today was the first day of school (which was a half day). When I picked him up one of the shoes was already peeling! He was sitting in the classroom not outside running. I asked if he fell and he said no. Since I brought them a month ago in preparation for a school, I have missed the return period by a couple of days. Very poor material. I do not recommend.

Misleading Size Chart

My son wears a size 3 little kids shoe, with a little room for growth (his toe rubs the end of a size 2). So, I ordered the size 3M, which should be 8.5" long, giving him a little room just like his other shoes. The box says 3M, the inside of the shoe says 3M, but the shoe is 9.5" long, which matches the size 6M big kids shoe according to the size chart. These shoes are MUCH, MUCH bigger than his other size 3s. The shoe looks to be of good quality and is decently priced, so we will hold on to the shoe in the hopes that he can wear it next year. But it's frustrating that I now have to order another pair and hope that the size is correct when it arrives. I'm going to try ordering one size down, but I feel like it's a guessing game because the size was so grossly incorrect. Had the sizing not been so misleading, I would have given it more stars because it otherwise appears to be a good shoe. I don't know if the size was misprinted or if there was a mistake in the manufacturing process, but this 3M little kids shoe is NOT a size 3M.

Part of my son's Halloween costume so I wasn't really willing to break the bank for possibly only one day of use. But I also didn't want to injure his feet. Well they fit perfectly (I ordered a half size up just in case and couldn't even worn his regular size honestly)
He walked all night all over out neighborhood hills in the shoes with no problems, no blisters and he could've kept going without any issues.
I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised. I would buy from this company again if he needs fancy shoes.

This is our son's second pair of shoes from Deer Stag. Yes, you can get them through Walmart, but it's a little bit cheaper on Amazon.

LIKES
- Great price-to-quality ratio - you're not penalized for buying cheap, in this case.
- Quality shoe - The stitching and bonding is pretty good, much better than I expected.
- Lace length - The oft forgotten part of the shoe, but is so important especially in a dress/formal shoe. The lace is the right length, which is great for kids because they're not walking around with a long, dangly string, or struggling to tie it because it's too short.
- Comfort - Our son @ 11 hasn't complained about any pain or sore areas. In fact, he loves it. Will update if things change.
- Easy to clean. It's not real leather, so lower maintenance and easier to clean to shine. Albeit leather shoes have an advantage when scuffed - they're buffed out more easily.

Narrow shoe

These are absolutely adorable. Unfortunately they are extremely narrow, to the point my lil guys foot couldn't get in even with the laces out. They are true to size length wise(compared to his other shoes), so if your son has a very narrow foot you won't have any issues. Very sad I had to return these.

My baby is 13 months wears a size 5, ordered a 5. He is in the 99th percentile for height, so maybe that effects the width of his feet.

Stitching seam issue...

Unfortunately the dress shoes we ordered arrived damaged :( They were super cute online and couldn’t wait for them to arrive. We ordered for my 2 1/2 year old son who wears a Toddler size 8 shoe. Too bad the shoes arrived with the stitching seams toen open and the foam was exposed on the tongues of the shoe. Also the shoe is very narrow if your child has a wide foot there’s no room to stretch the front of the shoe out. Arrived promptly and hassle free with the return. These shoes just didn’t work out for us in the end.
