I love the toilet. It solved a space problem but ...

Two problems.

The first is that a typical water supply valve exiting the wall will not fit between the toilet and the wall. I had very little space to try and move the toilet sideways enough and ended up with the valve only being accessible with some difficulty through the hatches in the sides of the toilet. The answer is to plan very carefully where you're installing the toilet and be prepared to relocate the valve if necessary before you're about to install the new one.

The second one is the toilet seat. It fits well and does slowly and quietly lower itself. But it is really thin and flexible plastic. It bends too easily. It feels very flimsy. I would be very interested to learn of a strong wooden alternative seat that anyone has used to replace the OEM one.

made a large closet into a bathroom and this toilet makes it work, I got a small profile sink to and everyone who sees the room thinks its great. you have to hold to flush down fully but I think that is the way the new low flush units work. One month in and I bought 2 of these since the original bath is small too. Loving the space saving and they look nice too

I needed a short (from front to wall) toilet for a very narrow bathroom. There are not any at the big home improvement stores or their catalogs, nor specialty plumbing stores in my area. This toilet fits the bill very well. I am quite pleased to have found it. It arrived on time and in one piece. Low water usage is a good thing.
Well, some things to know - not complaints, just things to know:
.Much of the toilet fits very close to the wall, a good thing. Yet, my water supply came in almost behind the toilet so we had to move and shorten it the water supply to cozy the toilet up to the wall.
. The design is such that it inherently has a "s*** shelf" in the bowl, common to many European toilets such that solids don't go in the water. A bit unappealing. The big deal, however, is that stuff sticks, requiring a second flush with a brush to clean the bowl = not as water saving as I had hoped.
This may just be inherent to either low water toilets or those who are compact with a short distance between the front and the wall. I don't know. I just know that it was a negative surprise.
I'm just so glad that I found a toilet that actually fits in the bathroom. If it is a tradeoff between the space requirement and these two items, I will keep the compact toilet without complaint.

Bright white toilet - Difficult install.

Small footprint for those tight toilet to door swing bathrooms.
The install was super difficult even with masking tape on the ground to show where the flange bolts are.
It may have a way to adjust the water level slightly but it needs a bigger pool to prevent skid marks. You can push the flush button gently to raise the water level buy if you hold it too long the water level drains itself without any additional tank flush pressure(as would any toilet).

The color is a good bright white. American Standard white looked cream next to our white tile. This toilet doesn't have that issue.

My husband said it was fairly easy to install. A little more complicated than a regular toilet because it is difficult to see the bolts when you are lowering the toilet, and a slow in tightening. We love that this toilet fits our small space. The old toilet was hit on the front by the door every time it was opened. Sleek design makes it easy to clean. Okay flush considering toilets all have such low water use these days. An option for a higher volume flush would be nice.

I hesitated from writing this review because we expect to buy a couple more of these toilets and I don't want the seller to raise the price based on higher demand. We've owned several toilet brands over the years, including American Standard, Kohler, and Toto and this toilet is by far the best of them. We needed a small toilet to go into a space where the previous toilet did not meet code due to insufficient clearance between the front lip and bathtub just across. The DeerValley afforded us several additional inches without any reduction in comfort. The hidden bolts and sculpted base make for easy cleaning and an elegant look. And the bowl stays clean +90% of the time, despite the minuscule flush volume. Really how a 21st century toilet should look and work.
