In Defence of Fauci Kindle Edition

3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 5 ratings

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a leading figure in the American anti-vaxx movement. For decades, he has used the power of his name and public profile to spread misinformation about vaccines, modern medicine, and science. In 2021, he published a book entitled The Real Anthony Fauci, an extended exercise in character assassination, pseudoscience, and anti-vaxx propaganda.

In April 2020, Fauci was granted a 24/7 security detail for his own protection. That security detail was still in place by September 2023, almost a year after he had retired from public service. Kennedy’s anti-science rhetoric undoubtedly fuelled the fires of anti-vaxx rage that threatened Fauci’s safety. He was not the only culprit, but he was the one with the largest and most influential voice.

This book is a response to Kennedy's attack on public health in general, and Dr. Fauci in particular. It presents a chapter-by-chapter refutation of Kennedy's main arguments, in accessible language, with clickable links to every citation in the footnotes.

It also includes multiple appendices, containing:

* infographics you can use as a quick reference to rebut common anti-vaxx claims
* a list of recommended websites, blogs, and podcasts for reliable information on medicine and science
* timelines of historic landmarks in vaccine science and policy
* a guide to common anti-vaxx subtexts in the media
* a guide to fact checking online information

In Defence of Fauci is a vital resource for vaccine advocates, and an excellent starting point for anti-vaxxers now questioning the false narrative they've been led to believe.

When our research is based on our own biased views we suffer the consequences. We choose those we regard as experts according to our opinions. This book needs to be shared with those in churches and as well as those in our government. We need to be open for correction.

Excerpt from book In Defence of Fauci
  • Reviewed in the United States on November 17, 2024
In Defence of Fauci claims to defend Dr. Anthony Fauci with evidence and critical analysis, but it falters on key fronts. The author frequently relies on value-laden language, describing Fauci as an "exemplary physician" who “bore the weight of a nation’s suffering.” Such emotive language undermines neutrality, a cornerstone of credible scientific discourse.

Moreover, the book depends heavily on secondary and tertiary sources, such as organizational websites and news article, rather than primary peer-reviewed studies. This approach weakens its arguments, as credible analysis should prioritize primary evidence to engage with complex scientific debates effectively.

While the author claims to maintain an impersonal tone, the writing often reveals subjective advocacy rather than objective critique. Opposing arguments are dismissed as “beneath a response,” which contradicts the critical thinking and neutrality the author professes to uphold.

Ultimately, In Defence of Fauci is less a rigorous scientific analysis and more a piece of advocacy. It may appeal to like-minded readers but fails to meet the standards of impartiality and evidence-based reasoning required for meaningful engagement on such a contentious topic.

This is a thorough and comprehensive debunking of Bob Jr's hyper frenetic attempt to use effective tactics to dangerously mislead people about vaccines and vaccine safety, endangering, and yes, even leading people to die from preventable diseases.
The harm he's done is incalculable.

This book is strongly biased. The author has no experience in what he’s writing about. This is definitely not a neutral or scientifically evidenced book.
