"It's nice to have someone think out of the box. The world Crane created was so unique and intriguing. It was awesome to see how intense Caleb felt for Maggie. I loved how Maggie did not fight her destiny but was fire roll with the punches . All in all this was a great read with a very unique take on paranormal romance. Well done Ms. Crane. "

Maggie, Caleb and the entire Jacobson clan are at the reunification with the other Ace's. The other clans are excited to meet Maggie, as she is the Visionary and the leader of her people. But once at the reunification, it becomes clear that the Ace's have no intention of letting Maggie be anything but a puppet.
Maggie and Caleb find themselves in a dangerous game. The Watson are leading the council and are doing everything they can to destroy Maggie and Caleb. The council is bound by outdated rules and hypocritical standards, that they become blind to what Ace's have become and are slowly destroying themselves. Maggie and Caleb soon learn that Fate has a different plan for them and has they are shown the horrors of the past, they begin to take steps to change their future and the future of their people.
Maggie has really come into her own in this story. She is no longer the shy overwhelmed girl we meet early on. She is a strong and capable women who refuses to bow down to the evil schemes of those bent of keeping power. With Caleb at her side, Maggie begins to assert her authority as the Visionary and starts to change the hearts of the people.
However, the Watson clan is not ready to go down without a fight. They have one last trick up the sleeve to destroy the Jacobson clan and to control Maggie. As Caleb and Maggie fight to save their destinies and the lives of their people, hard decisions will be made and life will be lost
What can I say about this book!!!!! First Caleb and Maggie's relationship is going to go down in history as one of the greatest love stories ever told..
Not only am I loving where this book is going for Maggie and Caleb, but, I also love what Ms. Crane is doing as far as Maggie's dad and brother as well. She is making it a point to keep the family together and since family is a big thing for me, I loved it. I was so happy for her dad and Bish and Jen. After all that they have been through, they need this happiness in their lives.
What I didn't expect was the twist concerning Maggie's real father, never saw that one coming.
The fourth and final book in the series is scheduled to be released on the 18th of December and I must say I am counting down the days, although I am sad to be ending yet another series..
The characters in this novel were astounding. We are introduced to a plethora of characters, who are very diverse and unique. It would have been very easy for an author to just have these characters fade into the background, but not Ms. Crane. Ms. Crane gave us descriptions galore, and the reader truly is able to get a feel for the families. I loved their introduction, and I hope to see more of them in the last book, Independence. Maggie is such an amazing character. She has grown significantly (pun intended) since the first book, and it was nice to see her step up into her role as the Visionary, even though a certain family was desperate to make her fail. Maggie is strong and independent, and while she does need Caleb, she is still her own person. This was such a refreshing type of character to read, and someone any girl can admire. I loved Caleb, Kyle, Lynne, and all of the other Jacobson's (especially Gran). Gran cracks me up, and had me laughing numerous times throughout this novel. Rodney is also back, and he is even funnier than before. As for those pesky Watson's, well I never thought I could hate a group of characters so much! They are expertly written, and they added a huge amount of tension to the story. It kept the story interesting and certainly lively.
There are some very exciting and touching moments in this novel, especially when some people imprint. However, the good does come with bad. There are several deaths, and one of them is absolutely heartbreaking. I teared up, and had to go back a reread the part of the story because I just couldn't believe the character was actually dead. This novel has definitely set in motion some events that are bound to have repercussions in the next novel, and I can't wait to see how everything plays out.
This is definitely an amazing read, and will satisfy any fan of the Significance series. Ms. Crane is an extraordinary author, and I am eager to read the final book, as well as other books that she has written. I highly recommend this novel! You won't be disappointed! Happy reading :)
