Definite Format Problem!

Did anyone else run into a formatting problem (Kindle version)? I don't want to give the story away, but there is a very long section that is integral to the storyline and is totally unreadable. This seems to occur in the sections where one of the main characters is writing in his "book."

The problem is repeated intermittently throughout the book, but never as severe as the section beginning on page 281 (Location codes show 3464-3468). The type becomes very dark and very small. Adjusting the font only makes the problem worse. This seems to occur in the sections where one of the main characters is writing in his "book."

I'm reading this under the library loan program, so it's doubtful Amazon will correct this formatting problem before I have to return the loan.

I have the same exact problem, and am also reading a copy borrowed from the library. I contacted overdrive support (library), and they said Amazon couldn't replicate the issue, and to delete and re-download the file to my Kindle. I did this and the pages are still illegible. I'm wondering if maybe it's part of the book. Next time I'm in an actual bookstore I hope I remember to take a look at the book, and if it was only messed up formatting on the kindle I'll read the five or so pages in the bookstore...

I have encountered the same problem at the same location. I'm a bit annoyed that this problem was first flagged in April and it's still a problem in October. I was enjoying the book, but the interruption comes at a critical stage in the narrative and I may just give up after reading the 2 posts before me. I bought this book as well, it's not a library loan.

This format was intended by the author! If you notice in the paragraphs following up to the bottom of page 281 the character writes that he is "running out of room" in his book, the words overlap to show that he was trying to squish the rest of his letter into that book, even if it was illegible he needed to get those words out. The author of this book plays around with formatting in many different areas and it looks the exact same in the paperback copy.
