My absolute favorite was Joy and Sorrow. I teared up several times as I read Iris's story about the love of her life, Grady. The characters are so well developed, and I felt like I actually knew them. The ending was very surprising and it was perfect. Very well done Amanda!
I'm not too big on reading books with multiple Authors but due to the simple fact that I already love Amanda Linsmeier's and C.H. Armstrong's books, I had to read this collection. For what this collection holds, it made me become a fan of Kelly Cain and Jamie McLachlan's work, Bianca's story just wasn't my kind of story and sadly didn't finish it but it was well written to say the lest. It was everything that you want in a collection that brings you stories of second chances in a way that you can read the entire thing in one sitting or just skip around to the stories you want to read without it being a total waste of time if you didn't like one story. I loved the fact that each story was set in a different time with different situations that make this book unique from all the other collections out there!!
Thank You to Kelly Cain, Bianca M. Schwarz, Amanda Linsmeier, Jamie McLachlan & C.H. Armstrong for coming together to put this collection of stories out there!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from the Author!
The book contains five short stories written by Kelly Cain, Bianca M. Schwarz, Amanda Linsmeier, Jamie McLachlan and C. H. Armstrong. As the title suggests all the stories are to do with second chances; however, they all are based on lost love which is found again.
In complete honesty, I must admit romance is my least favorite genre to read. However, I quite enjoyed this book. I think each author did an outstanding job of developing their characters. Despite the short number of pages in each story I could connect with each character and picture them in my mind.
The stories are all set in different eras and locations. It was a fun twist to see how the stories played out in each setting.
I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for short, fun summer reading choice. I can also see this as a great book for anyone traveling.
The book is easy to read and you will not be able to put it down until you find out how each story ends! Recommend you get a copy today.
