See that Deka label and the "Made in USA" printed at the bottom of it? That's what I paid my $86 to buy, but instead I was sent a Made in Vietnam, $25 "Moto Classic" battery. If I wanted a $25 battery I would have purchased a $25 battery. Don't know how well this Vietnamese battery will work but I got first hand information by a Vietnamese ex-coworker (that fixed motorcycles in his shop in Vietnam) that they were so absolutely desperate for working batteries that he'd disassemble old batteries and build new ones just to have SOMETHING that stored electricity. Is this the quality I can expect inside my Moto Classic battery.
My sales receipt says "Deka" as part of the battery description. I didn't know Deka was the "Kleenex" of battery brands. I thought Deka was a specific manufacturer, as my old Deka battery says on it. The new battery isn't even an EXT14 as ordered, it's a YXT14! The Moto Classic battery doesn't even have all of the required hardware to allow my Buell's cables to sit correctly on the battery terminals. Someone owes me a refund, return shipping cost included...
Oh, if I do a search on Amazon for "YTX14" I find this same Moto Classic battery for $10 less than their "Deka":

Bought this battery to replace my stock motorcycle battery which lasted 8 years, decided not to cheap out and purchase this one. I use my motorcycle once every 2 months and the rest of the time it is sitting on a trickle charger that keeps the battery fresh. One day this battery refused to start the motorcycle. Even though the voltage on the battery was 12.6v it could not provide any amps. After 3 days of sitting disconnected the voltage dropped to about 10.3 which means that one cell is dead.
Will have to replace it and it won't be BIG CRANK this time.
When I received this battery I immediately noticed a quality difference. It comes with a spacer if needed, was easy to install, and fired right up as soon as I turned the key. So far it's been doing great. Fingers crossed, I'll hopefully have this one about 10 times longer than my last.
