Even though Roxanne, Veronica, and Alisha are as different as three sisters can be, their combined talents shine in the pop-gospel group their parents, Rocky and Delilah, helped them form. Although Rocky’s death affected his wife and daughters deeply, Delilah’s eye for business has brought new success. When they find out that Delilah’s Daughters has made it to the final round of a popular singing competition, they can’t imagine how quickly the entire family’s lives will turn upside down. A solo contract from a prestigious record label threatens to break up the group, and when new paramours and old lovers enter the equation, Delilah and her daughters have to figure out if the cost of success is truly worth the price. This sweetly tender story of one family’s attempt to navigate the rocky waters of stardom focuses on the importance of loyalty, sacrifice, and second chances. Benson’s intimate knowledge of the music industry is evident, and her charming, inspirational novel will appeal both to fans of Martha Southgate and loyal Behind the Music viewers. --Stephanie Turza

Suddenly, the family is torn apart. Old secrets fall out of the closet. For different reasons each person in the family is fighting a battle. Most of all I enjoyed Delilah. She's a very wise woman, but she has her weaknesses too. The novel is Christian Fiction. It is easy to see that the Christian journey of life has its difficulties. When Alisha meets a new family member, I thought the friendship developed too quickly. The way the mother and daughter react or don't react to Alisha seemed more real. I have to admit Tia bothered me. She is Veronica's talent coach. The stress of her job makes Tia hard to know. I could read a whole book about any one of the three sisters or the mother. I feel Roxanne could really use a book of her own. Really liked the book.angelabenson.com/books
This is a faith based book. It gently takes you through right and wrong without beating you over the head. It has been awhile since we have heard from this author. Glad she is back.
This is my first Book by Angela Benson and definitely won't the last.
