One magical day, into the remotely quiet and peacefully serene world of one precocious little girl, comes a special delivery letter from her globe trotting Grandpa. The moment she opens that letter, she opens her heart and ponderings to the spectacular adventures, exotic worlds and unbounding thrills to come with every one of his wonderfully rich, wildly colorful and daringly adventurous tales. Within no time, she is his kindred spirit of imagination and exploration, taking herself on flights of fancy sailing the white-capped waves of the salty seas, soaring into billowy clouds as a daring pilot and riding into gusty winds with teams of wild horses. As his faraway world unfolds, it beckons this little girl to voyage far beyond her wildest dreams ...INTERNATIONAL LITERACY ASSOCIATION-Best Children's Book of 2017 (primary fiction) 2017 INTERNATIONAL RUBERY AWARDS- Shortlisted for Best Children’s Book 2016 NAUTILUS BOOK AWARDS-Gold 2016 MOONBEAM CHILDREN'S BOOK AWARDS-Best First Picture Book-Gold 2017 LOS ANGELES BOOK FESTIVAL-Best Children's Book 2017 NEXT GENERATION BOOK AWARDS-Best Picture Book 2017 NATIONAL INDI EXCELLENCE AWARD-Picture Book (all ages)-Winner 2016 NEW APPLE ANNUAL BOOK AWARDS-Best Children's Picture Book 2016 NEW APPLE ANNUAL BOOK AWARD-Best Cover Design ERIC HOFFER AWARD-Children's Picture Book- First Runner Up ERIC HOFFER AWARD-Grand Prize-Finalist ERIC HOFFER AWARD FIRST HORIZON AWARD-Finalist 2016 FORWARD INDIES BOOK OF THE YEAR- Bronze IPPY-INDEPENDENT PUBLISHERS BOOK AWARD-Silver LONDON BOOK FESTIVAL-Honorable Mention PURPLE DRAGONFLY BOOK AWARDS-Picture Book -First Place (tie) CIPA-EVVY AWARD-Children's Picture Book Finalist NATIONAL INDIE EXCELLENCE AWARD- Best Picture Book, All Ages US Review of Books- http://www.theUSreview.com/reviews/Delivering-Dreams-by-Lori-Preusch.html

The story tells of a little girl who receives letters from her grandfather about his travels. Then, one day, there is no letter for her, and "no day dreams." Where is her grandfather?
Perhaps the story is an allegory about the passing of her grandfather, since after "days and weeks," a letter, which is an invitation to travel, comes from "the oddest direction."
The girl's grandfather descends from the sky in a balloon, and invites his granddaughter to accompany him on a journey to "EVERYWHERE."
This story is also a "coming of age" story, about the time when our dreams materialize, because we have the courage, self-motivation, imagination, and inspiration to make them happen.
Of course, the young girl's dreams are delivered because of the good influence of her grandfather who has cared for her, and nurtured her, through memory-making and the magic of his letters.
This subtle and beautifully illustrated book contains an envelope and a letter within its pages, and the text of the book will surely weave its magic on all those who read it. I love this book, which will enchant young and old! - Suzy Davies
The author explores the young girl’s magical world of imagination while dreaming of joining her grandpa in his travels. The young girl’s dreams take her sailing the high seas, flying through the cloudy skies as a fearless pilot, or riding with teams of wild horses. Her world of imagination calls the young girl to explore dreams beyond her wildest expectations. Lori Preusch grabs readers’ attention from the opening pages to the whimsical ending in DELIVERING DREAMS.
