Purchased in March 2021, registered for warranty as part of set-up. Fast forward to January 2022, battery not charging, Dell diagnostic software confirms battery is the problem. I call Dell (Within 1 year warranty...right?) and spoke to rep in a land far far away. SORRY, computer was purchased in November 2020 and your warranty ran out in November 2021. Dell did not even care I purchased in March 2021 and registered computer for warranty. All they would say is no / out of warranty but we'll fix it for a fee.
$75 later at my local computer shop (whom I've used for years) and it's NOT the Battery but the jack where the power cord plugs in. Had computer back in 24 hrs.
Apparently when (at least some) retailers purchase computers...that is when the warranty clock starts. This would have been nice to know before purchase.
Computer itself works exceptionally well, I use it for video editing and it's more than capable.
