Seems quality control is not being addressed with these monitors and it's a hit or miss. Monitor was working fine, until it developed this dark purple line down my screen. Hardware dying within a few months of setting it up, but hey it was color accurate on arrival so I guess they got that going for them....

I picked up 4 of these total (3 from Amazon) and they are excellent monitors. In case anyone wonders what the "x" is for in the model number, it indicates that it comes with an HDMI cable instead of a DisplayPort cable (DP to mDP). I wish I had known that beforehand, but no biggie since I needed 10 foot cables anyway.

Just a quick note, I could not get 2560x1440 over HDMI when I hooked one up for testing, but as soon as I swapped in a DP cable, it detected the full resolution immediately. I'm not sure if this is by design, but I suspect it may be.

Excellent readability, even with small text. Very comfortable on the eyes; I can look at these for hours with minimal fatigue.

Get some ideas from my images if you like! In case anyone is curious, the center monitor is the ASUS ROG PG348Q, which is also great. This is the first time my monitors have exceeded the cost of my rig, but it was so worth it for productivity.

Not 4K, but without all of the deficiencies in 4K bleeding, etc. The display is magnificent. If somebody told me I'd buy a Dell display, let alone, two of them, three years ago, I'd have told them they were nuts. The quality of these displays has caused me to completely re-evaluate Dell as a serious peripheral provider. So long ASUS!

I took a chance connecting such a new monitor to an old piece of equipment. Though I have more modern computers, an old Power Mac G5 is maintained for backwards compatibility (a concern if you have decades of pre-OS X files). The acrylic stand on the 23 inch display previously connected to the G5 broke from the weight of the monitor. The Dell monitor has the same resolution and aspect ratio. Replaced the ADC setup with HDMI without a hitch.

I have a new mac mini and was using a ASUS 27 inch which had pixelated fonts and could never get colors right. This monitor? Remarkable. Not a single adjustment (other than choosing resolution) was needed out of the box. This rivals the Mac desktop Retina display IMHO. Love that the screen is not glossy and the LED lighting perfect.

The razor thin bevel frame feels like you get way more real estate to work with. Also, GREAT stand. Was thinking of getting a floating 1 arm stand until I saw how high you can adjust this... and it swivels! I'm also super thrilled with adding the sound bar that attaches underneath. Super loud and rich sounds -- and attaches inconspicuously under the monitor.

I would have happily paid $600+ for this -- glad I got a prime member deal for $150 off-- and will definitely buy more Dell monitors in the future.

A fantastic monitor, but the power button is inconsistently responsive. A google search (and YouTube search) will lead you to many other people complaining of this. It will work 65% of the time, but the 35% when it is completely unresponsive to touch is enraging. Really an amateur move to let a product onto the market with that big of a flaw, and to continue making them. This version of monitor has been being produced the same way since 2014 with the same problem. Utterly ridiculous. I'm getting a replacement but what a hassle, and I'm pretty sure it's going to prove to have the same problem.

EDIT - replacement came in last night. Whaddya know - if monitor is left on for over 30 minutes, power button doesn't function. This one's power button was even worse than the original - glad I waited to test the new one before I sent in the old. Damn..may bump up to a 27" even tho for my work 25" is better :/ it really is a shame bc the monitor is badass, sleek, stand is perfect and rotates and all that...just...god damn it I want to be able to turn it on and off when I want to (first one mainly had trouble turning off - this one turns off but not back on, even worse lol). This sporadic behavior should never have passed qc but I can see how it may have passed thru an inferior testing method. It's obvious nobody set these on their desks and tested them for longer than 30 min. i blame CHYNAH!! That I can tell you.

/end rant

Great monitor. Works perfectly with my 2015 Macbook Pro. Resolution is perfect with a Minidisplay to Minidisplay cable. It's a great, clear monitor and as a programmer it's perfect.
