Lightweight, great picture, good button placement, good features, good stand with easy setup. Wish these came with Display Port cables though. They box with VGA. There are no DVI or HDMI on the monitors. They are thin and easy to move and have good locations for the cables in back.

Dissapointing

I do not post reviews a lot, but this monitor is such a dissapointment I want to spare others the frustration. I ordered this to use as a 2nd monitor, . to be used together with my existing screen Dell monitor from 2010. I have to say sadly the old 2010 monitor outperforms the new one in any way!!!!. The worst part is this monitor's colors are all flat. The darker colors, esp. black are grayish at best and the screen lights up from behind from the bottom up washing out the little brightness that this monitor offers. I tried to troubleshoot, re-calibrated it, looked at Dells support documentation but was not able to achieve a satisfying result. I thought this to be a good deal now instead, I have to pay for return shipping.

Very happy with the picture quality (currently via VGA). There's also a DP connection port, but sadly, my computer doesn't have this output, so I'll have to use an adapter if I want a full digital connection. I watch quite a few films and documentaries, and I must say that this monitor is more than up to the task.

One caveat: I do wish Dell would've put a bit more thought into the pedestal. It works okay normally, but bear in mind that it will come off very easily if, say, you need to lift the monitor to reposition it. But with that said, overall, it's a good, solid monitor at a good price. Recommended.

Great Monitor for Normal Use (Not really for Gaming)

This monitor is really good for normal computer use and maybe some light gaming that is not graphics intense. If you are a gamer you probably are not looking at this monitor anyway. Some graphics cards out there cost more that a laptop computer; so a $65 monitor is not what you want. A serious gaming monitor should have an HDMI output. This monitor is VGA.

Now lets get to the normal use people like myself. I need something affordable and with great picture quality. It also needed to be VGA, I will elaborate on that later. I basically shop online and do a lot of Microsoft Office stuff like Word and Excel. This monitor is the size I need and the pictures seems to be sharper compared to my older monitor.

I needed a VGA output because I have several computer hooked up to a KVM switch that uses VGA. A KVM switch is where you have several computers hooked up to one mouse, keyboard and monitor. With the KVM switch you are able to toggle back and forth between computers. I had a custom built computer with Windows 10 on it. All the other computers displayed fine on my monitor except for the Windows 10 machine. After many adjustments and setting the display quality was poor. I realized I needed a new monitor that had a VGA output. I did some searching and found this monitor.

I am pleased to say this monitor works well with my Windows 10 machine. Bottom line this is a great affordable monitor for people who still need VGA and are not heavy gamers.

The viewing angles on this monitor are sooo bad. About a week after buying this, the monitor lost the red capibility so now instead of RGB, it's jus GB.... i expected more from a DELL.

I bought this to donate to a charity where they only had 1 computer for 16 special needs adults to use. I didn't need anything fancy, just needed something that would give a good picture large enough for some of the adults who have vision issues to be able to see clearly. This screen does the job well. They love their new computer and this monitor.

I tested the screen before I donated it and it seemed to look pretty good. I wouldn't recommend it for hard-core gamers or photographers, but for the causal user this is a great monitor to own.

I was looking for an inexpensive monitor for my work Optiplex 760. When it comes to buying things like monitors, it can get pretty confusing and complicated. Not b/c of manufacturers specs, but instead b/c of reviews!! I can’t tell if they’re real or fake when people are like “BLACK DOTS EVERYWHERE!!!” Sometimes it scares me away from getting stuff. Okay, on to the screen, I bought this screen for work, so I wasn’t looking for crazy good HD etc etc when I’d just be staring at excel spreadsheets and a few websites. If your like me, then this screen will be great. Good build quality, I’ve had it for a few months now and I can report there are no problems.
