I would even consider this worth the (current) price of $169.
Windows 10 isn't bad, much better than the previous version. And since this version is made to run on tablets it doesn't have any problems at all running on this machine.
Note, this is not a gaming machine, you can do a few basic games but that is it.
Setup was quick and easy, no issues. Quick update and done, ready to go. Plug in HDMI and mouse and keyboard and power it on and go.
I mainly got this for an FTP client, but it can easily handle that plus web browsing (with several tabs opened) plus other minor programs running at once. And I was easily able to max out my connection (cable, haven't used wireless) no problems at all.
I think this could easily be a cheap little HTPC if you put an external hard drive on it (it does work with external hard drives no problems).
If I go insane with concurrent connections it'll lag the FTP program, but that is with several times the default. I can easily run twice the default there.
I have ordered a 4 GB ram stick that I read online will work in here, if I need it and if I do install it I will update my review to say how it went.
My only issue (since it works and runs better than expected) is that it comes with a wired keyboard and mouse. Wired. Thankfully I had a wireless mouse (using USB dongle) and a Bluetooth keyboard. Both working without and problems at all.
I do recommend this for anyone that needs a basic windows machine that won't need a ton of power.
Edit: It will play Minecraft for Windows 10 (but not the older java version, not powerful enough). Just don't expect all the visual settings to be maxed out (especially view distance).
Installed a 4 GB stick of RAM (Crucial 4GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model CT51264BF160BJ) bought from Newegg (paid $21.99).
Took just a couple of minutes, booted back into Windows, now have 4 GB RAM, no problems at all.
It is running much better.
This is also excellent at running Kodi.
It boots really fast, it's completely silent, and doesn't get warm. It's perfect to use for quick and easy web surfing, watching YouTube videos, etc., and it's a REAL computer -- not one of the stupid stick PCs that runs a chopped-down mobile OS. Seriously, for not much more than a copy of Windows 10 alone you get a computer, keyboard, and mouse. You can hook up any standard USB devices as you would on any other desktop computer. I was even able to install Steam and play some light video games smoothly, obviously with the 3D options turned down, but still fully playable.
The only thing I think I'd change is to have the USB3.0 port on the rear instead of on the side, to easily conceal the wire running to an external hard drive.
