Finally! Two Windows Keys!

I've been hunting for a keyboard with two Windows keys for weeks now. There is an Amazon Basics keyboard that has it, but I went through two defective units. A couple others here on Amazon, but they're all junk. Dead keys or massive delays in keystrokes.

Finally found this Dell KB buried in the listings. Took a chance on it and it works great. Like the actual volume slider. Keys are responsive and has finally ended weeks of frustration with other junk keyboards.

Only gripe is that the legs don't stand it up nearly enough. I think this was complained about in other reviews, too. Going to have to devise a fix because even with the legs out, it's not nearly angled enough.

This keyboard is basically a nice keyboard with well thought out utility buttons. The one issue I have with it though is that the feet on the back to "raise" the keyboard are essentially useless. They flip out to about a 30 degree angle from the edge of the keyboard which really doesn't actually raise the keyboard off the table. So instead of your hands having the natural raise to type, you're typing on a flat surface. If it didn't have the wrist attachment, you'd be typing over a bump which would be even more uncomfortable.

This is a membrane based keyboard and does not work well for an average to high speed typist (>50wpm) The Dell business multimedia keyboard was my goto keyboard when they made them with mechanical keys as they were very responsive and rugged. I like the thin minimalist appearance but the performance is not acceptable. Often times key strokes are not even registered. Im open to suggestions for a goto keyboard in the $35 price range!

It would be a good value keyboard if keys would not stick. I am referring all keys, not only the space bar. That's something really annoying. For instance, while typing this review at a normal typing speed, I had to go back and edit it twice, as I got "referring" written with 14 "i" and without the "n". Unfortunately I bought it during a trip to the US and it would make no sense for me to return it, given the shipping cost from Europe.

I needed new keyboards for our home PCs, and this Dell KB522 is what is provided by my employer on the Dell PC at my office.

It works just fine and I thought it would be nice to have the same keyboard at work and at home.

We now have three of them at home and they work great! The white letters aren't wearing off of the keycaps like they have on some of the really cheap keyboards that came with our old emachines and Gateway computers.

I use the volume wheel more than you might expect, so that's a plus, too.

I recommend this keyboard highly.

I use this keyboard at work and just purchased one for home as well. There are far superior keyboards, but you can't beat this one for the price. It's solid, has a nice look and a relatively small footprint without the wrist rest. The media buttons are great, and the volume knob works very well. The keys have a short throw and soft feel more like a laptop, so some may consider that a negative, but I find it to be quite comfortable. Overall, worth the price tag.
