no flex to the case, extremely fast, has a PCIe SSD (NOT NVMe) screen quality is perfect, battery life averages 11 hours with very light usage, like 7 with heavy loads. Most impressive is this thing came with NO bloatware at all, none. After booting the only thing on the desktop was the recycle bin. Awesome laptop is you need quick performance and really long battery life.

Got one when it first hit Amazon around 2 months ago. Terrific deal and it indeed does include a HD touchscreen. The SSD is a bit small but I always upgrade the SSDs anyway on these laptops to the fastest ones on the market. Mine was shipped in two days with free shipping to Hawaii. So far no problems with it and it indeed is brand new with a 14-month warrantee from Dell.

Beware as a lot of deals on Ebay are actually refurbs for around the same price. Also a lot of the sales and promos direct from Dell you need to check the fine print as many of the 8th Gen XPS laptops do not include a touchscreen.

That being said, due to the small 13" screen size for best use of the touchscreen you need a stylus not unless you have real small fingers. In the same vein, getting the QHD screen in touchscreen is a waste of time and not worth the extra bucks.

Second time's a charm

After a maddening 1+ hour call to Dell tech support, I got tired of being shuffled between people that were of zero help, and I had such a difficult time of understanding what they were saying. The language barrier is definitely a problem with tech help that is 12,000 miles away. I then called Amazon and got a replacement, which works just fine. Thank you Amazon.

EDIT: 1 star. Received "blue screen" error twice now. Dell customer service is pathetic, no help at all. Returning ASAP.

First impressions upon opening and setting up: INCREDIBLY underwhelming. Sure, the screen is nice and sharp. But it runs extremely loud, and the fan is constantly blowing while doing simple things like writing e-mails or browsing the web. My previous Acer laptop was half the price and had an i3 processor, but ran leaps and bounds quieter, and just as "snappy" when browsing or running apps. Also certain keys on the keyboard are not very responsive. The period key (".") seems to be particularly bad, and I keep missing it when trying to navigate web pages. Very frustrating. This is likely going to be returned. I don't see what all the hype is about.

This laptop is for travel, up to 15 days a month. I have only had it for about a week, so durability will have to be updated later.

The most important thing to note and the item that caused me the most consternation -- the ability, or lack of ability to charge via USB-C.

This laptop WILL charge via USB-C, despite the warning on screen that you are not using a Dell charger!

I did NOT want a laptop that needed the traditional plug, cord, brick, cord, proprietary barrel tip set up to charge. What a tiny little bugger, packs a punch!

I had no idea how small 13 inches were but its pretty compact! I hate windows 10 though so I spent a good hour or two uninstalling bloatware and enabling admin controls etc... The dell xps 9360 was THE choice because of the longest battery life compared to the 9370 and the current 9380. Plus with the 8th gen i5 it's a smash!

All I use with this ultrabook is for programming and classic games such as Everquest and Quakeworld etc... They run perfectly fine and I'm happy! The only thing I need to do is swap out this small 128gb ssd for 512 and boom it's my all!

My complain is not with the product, as much as it is with the seller. Bought laptop back in May 2019. When I got it there was a small bend in the corner of the laptop, not a big deal so I taught. As time when by the bend started effecting the housing where the keyboard is , and started to open up the casing (as shown in the pictures). Called Dell for repairs under warranty. AND TO MY SURPRISE THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED ON JAN 2019 2MONTHS BEFORE I PURCHASED THE PRODUCT. Dell told me the laptop was in operation since Jan 2018. I never told it was a used laptop or refurbished.

It's got the "evilcorp-E" on its 45-degree angle, which is awesome. I use mine to connect to an AWS Lightsail instance, so probably a Chromebook would have sufficed, but yeah, well, whatever.
