I was running Windows 2000 on my old Dell Precision Workstation; that I purchased back in 2001. I had upgraded it as far as it would go (RAM wise). It was working OK; but I had been noticing that more and more software offerings, were not including W2K in their list of OS they were certified to work with. My dilemma; do I try and upgrade my existing computer to Windows XP or newer OS, or do I replace my machine??

I have had experiences in the past with trying to upgrade to a newer OS and all have had disastrous results!! I live on a very limited income, so a new machine was out of the question. Enter Amazon and their amazing deals!!

I found this refurbished machine, with a "fresh version" of Windows XP Professional; Service Pack 3 (meaning, no annoying garbage advertisement software that you get when you order a new machine from whomever and can never seem to totally get rid of!). It had everything I wanted, 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard-drive. I think the motherboard speed must be a lot faster than the old machine. This one runs way faster than the old and I was able to move everything from the old to the new with a transfer program.

I would definitely recommend this vendor. The machine was very well packed and arrived very quickly. It did not come with a CD burner, so I wanted to take the one from my old machine and install in this one. The case on the replacement machine has a "rounded" trim piece on the front and I couldn't find one anywhere on the net, so I e-mailed the vendor to see if they knew where I could get one. Immediately they e-mailed me back to see if I could take a photo of what I was describing. I did and she e-mailed me back photos of what they had and told me they would ship it to me for free. Now that's excellent customer service!!

I am very pleased and satisfied with my purchase and 5 stars is not good enough to rate my experience!!!

I placed my order with Reverse Logistics Solutions on a Monday afternoon and received it Wednesday evening, complete as advertised, working perfectly and in perfect condition. I couldn't be happier with it. Actually, the system is even better than advertised in that contrary to what is shown in the picture of the back, PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports are also provided. Do be aware that the two USB in front are vertically mounted in a cramped space, an odd design choice rendering them useless for thumb drives, but that's only a minor annoyance since there are six easily accessible USB ports in back.

Outstanding service and delivery!

These guys rock and I'll tell you why. I ordered a cpu tower and it got
damaged in shipping, it wouldn't even get past initial power up. I then
called Steve at ezBuyCafe and told him of my dilemma.

He then walked me through a few steps to trouble shoot and came to the
conclusion there was in fact damage done in shipping.

He then said "no problem, we'll ship you another and it goes out today".

I then told him of the importance of the tower as it was for my consulting
business and after a few questions and fact finding, he recommended a different
CPU altogether based on what I needed it for.

I received the new CPU and it is fantastic! Lightning fast, lots of gig on the
hard drive for all of my software, and did I mention, lightning fast.

I strongly recommend ezBuyCafe for any and all of your computer and electronics
needs, they are really professional, courteous and have the utmost regard for customer satisfaction.

I ordered the Dell from Technology Exchange and ever since I started using it, it's been shutting off at random times. I bought this Dell to use as a dedicated work computer, but this is unusable. It will stay on for the first hour or so without a problem, after that it's just a waiting game.

My best guess would be a faulty power supply or an improperly seated fan (which is making some really odd grinding noises). But I shouldn't need to fix these problems, it's supposed to have been fixed before I bought it!

Instead of expanding my business with this computer, it's wasted my time and money. Now I'm stuck deciding whether to put more money into this computer or put even more money into purchasing a different computer.

I bought this refurbished from cravingsavings, and I expected something rather sketchy. I just needed it to hook up to my TV and play Netflix/Hulu videos. But it came safely packaged (but not excessively), it's clean and completely undamaged, all the ports work (that I've tried) and the software (XP) is set up with no unnecessary cruft or spyware. This was easily the fastest computer setup I have ever gone through--it was up and playing videos within a few minutes.

Update 9/19/2012:
This computer failed after about eight months of heavy use. Now I have to replace the motherboard. It appears the failure mechanism was overheating that caused some capacitors to blow out, which is apparently common for this type. I did let the front fan get clogged a little bit with cat hair, so that may have been a factor. I'm still fairly happy with the purchase, hopefully it will be running again soon.
Update again: replacing the motherboard was cheap and fairly easy. Dell knows how to design for maintenance. Still running a year later.
