Ideal for bathroom spaces, the ceiling-mount Delta Electronics Breez Exhaust Fan delivers an air flow rate of 110 CFM for improved indoor air quality--which offers the potential of improved comfort and health for your family living in the home. In addition, it operates at a noise level of less than 1.1 sones, running impressively quiet.
The Breez's smart design is Energy Star-certified, so you are assured it's an ideal choice for keeping utility bills manageable and running a green household. Its 15.3-watt power-consumption rating translates to an efficiency rating of approximately 7.29 CFM per watt at 0.1-inch of static pressure.
DC Motor Technology Ensures Consistent Performance
One innovation that allows the Breez to be so efficient is a switching power supply that converts your home's standard AC 110~220-volt power source to DC power, which allows the fan to utilize an efficient DC motor.
This DC brushless motor is engineered to run continuously, and offers a life expectancy of 70,000 hours--about eight years of nonstop ventilation. The Breez's DC motor includes a built-in soft-start function to increase the lifespan of its bearings, and it's designed to automatically power off the fan if the impeller ever locks abnormally. In addition, the motor and blower assembly is equipped with a thermal cutoff fuse for added safety.
Durable, Easy-to-Install Body with a Clean Look
The Breez's body features galvanized steel construction for durability. It also has a detachable 4-inch duct adapter and a built-in back-draft damper.
Also, the face of the fan unit is a sleek, unobtrusive grille that blends in seamlessly with any decor--whether installing the exhaust fan to update an existing bath, or placing it in a newly constructed home. And the grille is constructed with sturdy ABS material. It attaches securely and directly to the housing with torsion springs, and the entire unit is built for easy installation.
UL and HVI Certified for Safety and Reliability
Built for use with ducts that measure at least 4 inches in diameter, the Breez has been evaluated by the Underwriter Laboratories and conforms to both UL and cUL safety standards. It is also UL and cUL listed for use in a tub or shower enclosure when used with GFCI branch-circuit wiring. And it's HVI (Home Ventilation Institute) certified.
The Delta Electronics VFB25AD Breez 110 CFM Exhaust Fan is backed by a limited three-year warranty.

So, it was a DIY project. I've replaced a number of spun-out bearing bathroom fans before. My beef with this model is the difficulty fitting the fan plenum to the exhaust hose from the side as the box is cajoled into place. The finger clearance and angular range of the required manipulations to keep the plenum to hose adapter aligned takes multiple attempts before it's a success. You're doing all this after a couple times with sewing machine jumpy arms over your head. I had to trim some metal from the housing to get the visibility to make it all come together. It was a knuckle-busting, abdominizer, balancing act from a ladder.
I'm quite happy with the result, but installation in existing structures could be tricky ... it can be done!
Note: The fan might appear to start slow IF you are pushing a long column of air across and around the house in the exhaust duct. Moving a long air column is hard motor work. It will take a second to rev up in a 50' exhaust duct run. The alternative is a capacitor start fan motor that has an added cost.
If you need an instruction sheet to tell you to screw it to some framing above the sheet rock, you really ought to call a carpenter and stand back.

Excellent air movement and very quiet. Fit and finish solid... not chince like a lot of the lesser quality Broan/Nutone fans.
Well worth the price.
