Help meat marinate faster and reduce food shrinkage with the Deni 16-Blade Meat Tenderizer. Ideal for beef, lamb, pork, fish and poultry, the tenderizer uses 16 razor-sharp stainless steel blades to pierce the meat for better taste, texture and less cooking time. Easy and safe to use, the tool includes a protective plastic cover for storage. Dishwasher safe. Imported.
This tenderizer not only hastens the cooking and marinating time of meats, fish, and poultry, it also significantly improves the flavor and texture of gamier meats such as venison or pheasant. In addition, the tenderizing process reduces shrinkage during cooking, so meat retains much of its original, pre-cooked size. 16, razor-sharp, stainless-steel prongs aligned in a single row, pierce any cut of meat including; whole roasts, chickens, or turkeys. This tool can be used to tenderize food for any cooking method, whether it be grilling, baking, braising, broiling, or roasting. A rectangular-shaped, plastic handle and plastic cover safely contain the tools super-sharp blades during storage. For easy cleanup and hygienic safety, the tenderizer is dishwasher-safe. Denis parent company, Keystone Manufacturing Company, provides a two-year, limited warranty on this product. --Cristina Vaamonde

This tenderizer is similar to the one that I saw him using and it is the correct size for a small family with a small roast or pork for a family of two or four..Very easy to use, safe and it really does tenderize the meat
None of that wax paper crud all up in the meat either.
This won't flatten, but does poke a zillion little holes through, say, a flank steak. If you need to tenderize but not flatten, this is the tool.Much better
Four stars insted of five is just because I'll get one with a lot more blades next time. It's the nature of a spring loaded plastic thing to breal with heavy use, so I don't expect to have it forever.
It's sharp- be careful.
I got it to soften up some top round steaks, and they came out like tenderloin (without all the fat, which I'm not supposed to eat, which is why I buy round). It makes it tender and moist without changing the shape, although it will flatten a chicken breast a little, which is not all bad.
I got the single-row model. I would probably recommend the 48-blade 3-row model for a family.
