Part of Denon's Acoustic Luxury series, the AH-260 in-ear headphones combine our latest technologies to deliver optimum sound quality and superior comfort. Denon's Acoustic Optimizer system provides equal ambient air pressure on both sides of the diaphragm for naturally balanced sound. Our exclusive Radial Cascade Damper system reduces cable transmitted vibration, and the cable features Oxygen Free Copper wire. The earpiece housings are constructed of a hybrid Aluminum and resin compound to dramatically reduce resonance improving sound detail and balanced. The large 9mm diaphragms are driven by powerful Neodymium magnets for dynamic sound and high efficiency, extending the battery life of your portable music player or computer. To ensure optimum fit and comfort, the AH-C260 comes with four sets of compliant ear pads that allow the best match for any ear. The ear pads are super soft, and allow maximum isolation from external noise, as well as supreme comfort even with extended listening sessions. The 1.3 meter (4½ feet) cable features equal length (left/right) earpiece cables, along with an adjustable branch point adjustment slider, as well as a cable clip. A compact soft shell carrying case is included.

Proprietary Sound Technologies Provide Superb Playback
With their smooth highs and dynamic lows, the Denon AH-C260 in-ear headphones play back your music with startling detail and fullness. The speakers are engineered using Denon's Acoustic Optimizer system which equalizes air pressure on both sides of the 9-millimeter speaker diaphragm to deliver a balanced, natral sound. Denon has also implemented a Radial Cascade Damper system, which keeps cable vibrations to a minimum allowing you to hear every musical detail. Finally, high-grade neodymium magnets are used in the speakers to improve dynamics and efficiency, extending the battery life of your portable music player or computer.
Sound Isolation for Immersive Listening
If you are a commuter or a jogger, you know that ambient noise can often interfere with music listening. Thankfully, the AH-C260 headphones are an in-ear design, which function like ear-plugs to help eliminate unwanted noise. They also use Denon's proprietary Hybrid Material Housing, that dramatically reduces resonance to improve sound detail and balance. This means that you'll always be able to hear your music with superb clarity--even amidst noisy conditions.
The AH-C260 headphones have also been designed to provide maximum comfort, even during extended listening sessions. Since every ear is different, four sets of ear pads (ranging from small to large) have been included to provide you with an optimal fit. The 1.3-meter cable features an adjustable branch-point slider, giving users maximum flexibility.
The Denon AH-C260 headphones are backed by a 1-year warranty.

I had to check these out because they are Denon, and I am in love with my music maniacs.
Those are a different bird altogether. I figured Denon wouldn't put their name on anything sub par. These are better than your average generic earbuds, but, blindfolded, Denon would not have been the first word out of my mouth ;)
How critical can one be of a $14 set of earbuds? Well.... Denon. I kind of expect certain things from Denon.
They are cleaner than most, but there is a bit of fuzz even at low volume.
The highs are prominent, very, not painful or sceechy... but enough so that my first thought was, I want an equalizer..
The bass is pretty good, not boosted, more neutral. The mids almost disappear. Vocals are clear but instruments are somewhat awash.
I still want to EQ them.
This purchase was instigated in part by a set of earplugs I reviewed by Caeden Caeden Linea N°2 In-Ear Headphone, Faceted Carbon & Gold and given that I spend most of my time in pretty good headphones, and seldom wear earbuds, I got myself a couple of pair for comparison, these, some audio technicas (which I have yet to try) to make sure that I was giving them a fair assessment. I have at least 6 pair now, which, given that I never wear earbuds, excepts when I am on an airplane, is a lot. I still think that Koss, the plug, are far and away the most comfortable, and have pretty decent sound, again, for $10 earbuds.
These best most of the ones that come with your phone, player, etc... I almost forgot the beats by Dre that come with the HTC rezound... yeah, those too.
A little disappointing that Denon would put their name on these. They are better than average $10 earbuds, but, that's about it.
Now, if you want shockingly good sound for not much money, check out Beyerdynamic DT 235 Headphone - White
They aren't ear buds. Did I say I don't wear earbuds? My recent trials (of, oh 4 or 5 sets now) have not convinced me that there is a good reason to, except that I now have a lot of them. Good thing these come with extra silicon pads. I am going to find a kid who looks like they need some.
I am revising my opinion after an hour with my Fiio. Yes, the highs can be painful. I knocked the star rating down a notch. In ways they best generic earbuds but these are not something I want to spend a lot of time in. In fact, after an hour they are going in the goodwill pile.
Very disappointed in these. The wire is very thin and the "sound is very tinny" . I can't believe are actually from Denon?!? The "build" quality is very low- the wire is thin the ear covers are flimsy-almost no bass out them.......These remind me of cheap knockouts?!?fake? maybe? low sound output....missing some the "extra pads"
The free airline earbuds sound better...
I've had these for about a year, and they haven't failed me yet.
These headphones fit my ears comfortably with the larger tips from the box. But I get my own tips separately anyway, so it's not really a huge deal in my opinion. The included wrapper thing that I got with mine isn't great and can be safely ignored. It's a neat little decorative toy, but using it coils the cable more tightly than is good for the cable.
In short, this is a very good pair of headphones for plug and stay environments. The sound's good for the price and the noise cancellation has passed the loud coworker test on many occasions, which have made them a perfect office companion. Just don't expect them to live up to wear and tear.
The replacement ear buds were from an older model that this was replacing, and I'm glad that I've tried switching them.
It's sad that most of the buyers would never know its potential.
If you other ear buds, I would recommend experiment switching around.
