Proprietary Sound Technologies Provide Superb Playback
With their smooth highs and dynamic lows, the Denon AH-C560R in-ear headphones play back your music with startling detail and fullness. The speakers are engineered using Denon's Acoustic Optimizer system, which equalizes air pressure on both sides of the 11.5-millimeter speaker diaphragm to deliver a balanced, natural sound. Denon has also implemented a Radial Cascade Damper system, which keeps cable vibrations to a minimum allowing you to hear every musical detail. Finally, high-grade neodymium magnets are used in the speakers to improve dynamics and efficiency, extending the battery life of your portable music player or computer.
Sound Isolation for Immersive Listening
If you are a commuter or a jogger, you know that ambient noises can often interfere with music listening. Thankfully, the AH-C560R headphones are an in-ear design, which function like ear-plugs to help eliminate unwanted noise. The earpieces use Denon's proprietary Hybrid Metal Housing, which combines precision machined aluminum alloy and a sophisticated resin compound. These materials dramatically reduce earpiece resonance improving sound detail and balance. Together these features mean you'll always be able to hear your music with superb clarity--even amidst noisy conditions.
Comfortable Design with Integrated Remote and Microphone
The AH-C560R headphones have also been designed to provide maximum comfort, even during extended listening sessions. Since every ear is different, four sets of soft ear pads (ranging from small to large) have been included to provide you with an optimal fit. The 1.3-meter cable features an adjustable branch-point slider, giving users maximum flexibility.
For further convenience, the AH-C560R feature a convenient, three button inline remote. The remote also includes an integrated microphone that allows you to record voice memos with select iPhone or iPod models. These advanced functions are compatible with the iPhone 4GS, 3GS and iPod Touch (2nd generation). Remote-only function is supported by the iPod Shuffle (3rd generation).

The built in mic picked up my voice clearly during the Face Time feature and controlling the other features such as volume, connect/disconnect, track skip and fast forward/rewind worked without a hitch. Oh yes, they fit in my ears perfectly and snuggly. Why didn't I give it 5 stars? Here's why...
It's not a deal breaker but just preference. I like the cords to going to the ear buds to be one short and one long allowing you to drape it around the back of your neck. It just feels more comfortable to me.
The cables/wires were squished from the way they packaged it. I think they'll reshape in time...I hope.
Other then that, these are some excellent in ear headphones. In my honest opinion the sound reproduction will not disappoint.
Okay one last con...the price if it were cheaper would always be nice.
(The packaging does not list the newest iPod Touch 4G but rest assured it works)
I've had these Denon in-ear headphones for less than a month now and have knocked it's rating from 4 stars to 2 stars. I'm very tempted to give it 1 star but since the sound quality while it was intact was great, 2 stars seems justified. What I may have not mentioned above was that I had purchased two of these, one for my girlfriend and the other for me. Both of ours has fallen apart in less than a month of ownership and very little usage. In a previous members review they had mentioned that the wires were kinked from the horrible packaging. I will confirm that this is true since my wires were also kinked and where it was kinked, the protective layer has split and the wires are exposed.Read more ›
Before I start the review, I would like to state that I AM NOT AN AUDIOPHILE. I can tell the difference between 128kbs MP3 and 320kbs MP3s, but between 320kbs and Lossless files, my ears can't tell too much of a difference, if any at all. Also, I keep the equalizer flat.
Anyways, on the the review. Each area I will review will be out of 5 points.
1. Build Quality: 4/5
These headphones are well built. The main cord is nice and thick and seems durable (well see) and the cords from the individual earphones are thicker than most other headphones out there. The remote is light but it also feels a little too much like cheap plastic, like the kind of plastic the toys from those quarter vending machines are made of. Also, the cord is plenty long (for most people) but it doesn't seem to go perfectly straight and sometimes you will fight with it. Oh, there is almost no cable noise, at least noticeable cable noise. I walk a lot and my cord bounces and rubs my shirt and I have never noticed cable noise.
2. Treble (Highs): 5/5
When I first got the headphones the trebles were a little harsh, but after some burn in, they soften up and sound great. They are bright and clear. Listening the Air's "Sexy Boy" is awesome with these!
3. Mids: 4/5
The mids can get a little lost between the highs and the lows. They aren't as pronounced, but what is there doesn't sound bad, just wish there some more of it.Read more ›
