Todd Starnes was a news anchor and host at Fox News Channel for more than a decade. His daily radio commentaries are broadcast on hundreds of radio stations around the nation. And his syndicated column is read by millions. He is also a frequent contributor to Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network programs.

He is chairman of Starnes Media Group and the owner of KWAM, an AM-FM news talk radio station in Memphis, Tennessee.

Pollster George Barna included Todd as one of the top media influencers for Evangelical Christians in the 2016 presidential election.

Todd is the recipient of a regional RTNDA Edward R. Murrow Award and an Associated Press Mark Twain Award for Storytelling. In 2014 he was awarded the National Religious Broadcaster’s Board of Directors Award. He is the recipient of First Liberty Institute’s “Defender of the Faith” award, Vision America’s “National Hero of the Faith” award, Bott Radio Network’s “Watchman on the Wall” award and Pacific Justice Institute’s “Light in Media Award.”

I. Love. This. Book! I was going to wait until further along before writing a review, but being 2/3 of the way in, could wait no longer. Todd Starnes tells it like it is. There is the unfortunate impression that people who hold conservative beliefs are supposed to cower in the shadow of those who would wish to keep us quiet and strip us of our values. But we don't have to! "In quietness and confidence shall be our strength." I've found myself feeling better and better about keeping steadfast in my beliefs by refusing to get into beefs on social media and treating everyone who holds a different view from mine with the kindness and consideration that we are commanded to uphold. One task at a time, one person at a time. Todd lays out "Marching Orders" at the conclusion of each chapter. It's not difficult to find one or two things we can do. Yes, I'm deplorable. But I love my country, I love the gifts I've been blessed with, and I love to work hard to share those gifts. Thank you, Todd Starnes!

I liked some Todd Starnes' article and I ordered his book expecting a deep analytical review of what went wrong with USA under Obama and how it needs to be fixed. Sadly, I didn't find it there. I've got bored with the first 10% of the book so I just stopped reading it. from what I've read, the book should've been titled "Christians Guide...", not "The Deplorables Guide", as in those first 2-3 chapters Todd addresses Christians only and talks a lot about church and God and Christians' responsibilities and such. I'm not a religious person at all, so it didn't click. Instead of a guide how to make America great again, I've found it to be a boring conservative propaganda piece aimed at Christians. Don't get me wrong, in my views I'm further to the right than many conservatives, but if you're not a church-going Christian, this book is probably not for you.
