I greatly enjoyed looking through this book. Some of the glass in here is just fantastic and I didn't even realize there was glass like some of the stemware (in particular) shown. Fantastic!
Generally, I avoid Schiffer books because they are typically thrown together with nice pictures and poor quality information, limited as it usually is. However, this book proves to be the exception to the rule. The book seems extremely well researched and many patents are shown in the book alongside the glassware to verify the designers and help with the dating. The author has obviously spent some time doing the research for this book - a first among the Schiffer books I've seen.
The book is divided between short biographies on quite a number of companies, Stemware, Tableware, Vases, and Candleholders & Accessories. The scope of the book, I feel, is somewhat limited as is the number of manufacturers whose pieces are shown. Overall, though, a beautiful book that is well researched and documented.
