We still read a little of Ty and Lana but this story is essentially about Cody finding his true mate and the fact she is human and not approved off by their Alpha; his father.
Heather has fled her old life after a bad night out, discovering Vampires before her best friend ends up dead. A nasty Vampire has it in for her after she managed to escape his advances the night her best buddy was killed.
She ends up taking on the temporary position of Teacher where she meets Cody. Each is drawn to the other despite Cody’s fathers views on mating humans. It is had for both to resist and soon they allow the pull to claim them. Heather is still scared and wants only a lust filled relationship, until she has to move on.
Cody has other ideas. He has also teamed up with Kyle as they are worried about Vampires in their part of the country. He’s also worried as the victims have an uncanny resemblance to Heather.
The past does finally catch up with Heather and it’s Cody and the wolves who intervene. There are still a few hurdles to overcome for her, before they both get their HEA, but it’s a fantastic read, once again. Gripping, with touches humour, a little on the other couple/family, and that erotic side. ;)
Thanks Anna Lowe for another great read. :) Roll on the next one. :)
that's until heather, a full blooded human, enters the picture as a stand in teacher. he tries to stay away but his wolf isn't having it. drawn to her like a moth to a flame they do their best to fight their attraction, but you know fate. it always has a way of turning out just right. though fate has created a dilemma once more , else she wouldn't be fate i guess.
a heartfelt story how two people find solace with each other. a must have if you're reading the rest of this series, it can't be missing!
Cody, the playboy youngest son of the Twin Moon Alpha, and Heather, a human teacher on the run from a vampire who fixated on her and killed her best friend, are featured. After crossing into Arizona, Heather takes a temporary teaching position at the ranch, planning to move on to California when it ends. Cody knows the green-eyed Heather is off limits, but can't stay away from her, while Heather finds her 'no more men' policy going up in flames when Cody is around. Cody believes his dreams of finding his own mate and happy ever after may be within reach. But a vampire is leaving a trail of murdered green-eyed women along the highway headed west toward Arizona, headed straight to Heather.
I love this series Anne has such an awesome way of pulling you into a story with such vivid details, I want to go to Twin moon ranch, I really love Cody he is a jokester, a womanizer and a good off but is he really being the younger son he has had to find a way to cope, Heather is on the run from a creature, scared and no place to go, she finds a temporary job at twin moons ranch and meets Cody, she sees him for who he really is, Cody and his wolf know she's his fated mate and will do anything to protect her. Just such a beautiful story
