I would recommend this product to anyone with who has issues with oily hair! I've been experiencing oily hair build up ever since I've hit puberty; I would have to wash my hair everyday since other shampoos made my hair appear oily day after. With this shampoo I don't have to wash my hair the next day like I used to before, now its after two days. Plus, its not healthy to wash your hair everyday since you would strip your scalp away of its natural oils. Plus the price for the shampoo it not bad one bottle lasts me about 6 months, and when getting two you have a shampoo supply for a year! I do use this product generously (not dime sized amount that many hair stylist say) and I still have a lot left in the bottle. Plus this product is organic, vegan, and environmentally friendly its win, win!
I bought this Desert Essence Lemon Tea Tree Shampoo because I tend to have oily hair. The main reason why I tried this product was because it is organic and my family and I are trying to get away from shampoos made with sulfates and other potentially toxic ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised by the light, citrus smell and ample amounts of lather, which I find unusual for natural products. It makes my scalp feel tingly and refreshed! It leaves my hair very soft and silky. I've even been able to go an extra day without the need to wash my hair again. I've have not been able to do that in the past because it looked too greasy with other shampoos. Because of my great results, I'm very happy with this product. Also, other shampoos for oily hair usually left my hair dry and brittle and after a few hours it would look like I didn't even wash it.
My hairdresser recommended this shampoo for my hair, which is generally on the oily side. While the manufacturer has product in a lot of local stores that I shop at, none of the local stores carry the Lemon Tea Tree version of the product, so I've been purchasing that online. The shampoo works really well, and a little bit of it seems to go a long ways. I believe it does work well on my hair. It says it's organic, so hopefully that means it's free of any really nasty artificial compounds. The first time I used it I thought the smell was interesting (I'm a guy who previously bought very generic and uninteresting shampoo) but I became used to it quickly.
I have used many different natural/sulfate free shampoos. I have fine hair that tends to look slightly oily and dirty by the end of the day. After using this shampoo, my hair lasts for multiple days while still feeling very soft and looking clean. Unlike many other natural shampoos I have used, this shampoo lathers very well and only requires a small amount. I am very impressed!
This shampoo is great for people with very oily hair. It does dry out my scalp and make my head a bit itchy at times. I alleviated this problem by shampooing and rinsing rather quickly. Not letting it sit on your scalp makes a difference. I do wish it had a more lemony smell though.
I have tried several hair products (in all price ranges) to get rid of dandruff and nothing was working. This shampoo is affordable, smells wonderful, leaves my hair soft and shinny, and best of all the dandruff is gone!!! In addition it does not cause my hair to fall. This product has been great. The bottles aren't large so you may need to buy at least two at a time so it lasts longer but that is not a big deal. The product itself really helped with my dandruff and if doesn't dry my hair or strip the color. I'm very glad I found it!
This is great for oily hair like mine! The scent is great and I always feel like it cleans everything out of my hair like multiple days of dry shampoo in my scalp. I wouldn't use this every day though as it may feel like it strips your hair of its natural oils. So it tends to be a once-a-week shampoo for me!
