Extreme Desert Runners!

KUDOS to these men and women who run ultra marathons across the world! Challenging themselves to run and actually complete 4 desert runs is phenomenal! From running in the Sahara Desert (the hottest desert in the world), and then taking on the Antarctica (the coldest in the world), is truly remarkable! I myself, have walked in the Sahara Desert and know how hot and dry it is there. I can't imagine running in it.

It is even harder to believe that these runners are NOT professionals. Nor are they actors. In simplest terms, they are everyday people like you and me with hopes, dreams, and yes, even face hardships from time to time in their lives. In fact, several runners share candidly that these marathons help them cope with whatever difficulties they are facing at home. Through these races, the runners finish strong with a sense of accomplishment and renewed confidence in themselves.

This film was so amazing! Had me cheering, crying and most of all ~ inspired.
Can we film more of these & share with all of us at home, please?!
Especially during these trying times we are all in ~ it’s so heartwarming to see comradery amongst strangers who all have the same goal in mind 🙏🏻

I found out about this movie through a podcast and I really wanted to like it, but I felt like the story line was lacking, and it was hard to figure out what was happening through the film. It would have been better if there was more depth to the story of the runners, coverage that extended outside of the races. Probably the most gripping part of the film was related to a tragedy which happens halfway through the film.

Desert Runners is a film of heroism, triumph, tragedy, perseverance and pushing the boundaries of our understanding of comfort. The film follows the lives of 4-6 individuals as they prepare to run four of the most grueling deserts in the world. Each race is a 250KM journey of overcoming your personal battles to finish something extraordinary.

This film will inspire you to dream big and then challenge you to live out those dreams.

Inspiring and emotional

The amount of love and compassion one can have for another is quite evident in this documentary. Watch this with your children. The message is clear to most of us; strive to become more than you are while being who you are in the present.
