This is a story about CJ, an ex cop turned private eye, who just happens to stumble upon the latest victim of a serial killer.
For most people that would be the end of their involvement in the case, but unfortunately, the serial killer decides to set CJ up so the police believe he's the person responsible for the Guilt Murders. Can CJ and his friends convince the police of his innocence or will he be charged with something he didn't do? Deserving of Death is a wild ride of suspense and heart pounding action. I loved this book and highly recommend to everyone who loves a great mystery and crime story. Well done, James Paddock. Well done.
This book is multi-layered, smoothly written and tucked into the heart of the action is a great love story. I'm a fan and can't wait until the next CJ Washburn book comes out.
This story managed to grab my attention from the word 'go' and held on all the way through. It made me want to skip work, but I didn't. I went to work, but managed to come home early just to get back to this story.
I highly recommend this book, even if you don't like reading an excellent mystery.
CJ Washburn, cop turned PI, is a believable, imperfect man throw into a murder mystery mess, just from being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or was he? The story keeps you guessing, which is why Mr. Paddock got a 5 star rating from me and other readers.
The story is fast paced, the dialog perfect and the supporting characters helped draw me into CJ's nightmare ride and keep me there.
Mr. Paddock does it again. It's a 'must read' recommendation from me.
